SentrySafe SFW205CWB Fireproof Waterproof Safe with Dial Combination, 2.05 Cubic Feet, Black

It's more expensive than the average ones but you get the build quality and design. Yes the lever is plastic but it's the point, you want it to break if forced so no one can get into the safe. The entire box is super heavy for the same reason: protection. It also has a hinge that appears to be very easy to defeat but if you look inside you will find the door is completely wedged into the frame when closed. Taking out the hinge will not result in defeating the lock, the door shall remained locked. I do not regret paying for it. Excellent design & quality and it shows.

Very solid construction, fairly heavy (which is good) and easy to use. I found the trays quite handy for organizing aswell. Happy with this purchase.

Delivered but after half a dozen attempts to open it, it would not open reliably and required pushing the handle, which gave a number of unpleasant sound plastic clicking noises and was extremely difficult to lock or unlock - the mechanism itself was partially jammed or wasnt aligned to the right combination. Phoned the manufacturer who instructed me to dissassemble the rear front of the safe (it was clearly a very common problem!) revealing it was indeed entirely a plastic locking assembly..! Utter unreliable piece of junk, on top of which was the apparent moisture problems (I was planning on storing my camera in there, as per their photos!) Trying to return it can be a nightmare also - as you need the original packing material, and I doubt even batman could get this safe out without ripping apart the packaging materials totally! Just Avoid!!!!

I decided to purchase a fire proof/water proof safe for home use. I checked out serveral different makes and models of safes before deciding on this model. The safe is well built and easy to use. Good value for the money spent. Definitley recommended.

So far I have been very happy with the safe purchase. Great size to fit all my hard drives in one tray and two laptops on the bottom. I have all my important documents and keys in the safe and it works great!
