As I expected, great quality 😊Bit tricky to fit but I have tremours and it's a slim filter for my macro lens. Pictures are sharp as if it wasn't fitted 😉

Excellent lens protection
A UV lens filter is good practice to use to protect good quality lens from seaspray and sunlight etc even if it has anti glare coating on it. When you have a good quality or expensive high performance lens it is better to pay around 10% of the lens value on a filter because the quality of the filter will be more in line with the quality of the lens. This Hoya UV lens protector has a great quality feel and it does not affect the performance of my lens.

Appears to be a very high qualit filter, well built.
It is obviously stupid to pay a lot of money for a lens and then put a low quality filter on it. This filter has received very good reviews on the web, and appears to be a high quality product. I have used Hoya filters for years and have never been disappointed.

Excellent value filter from a known brand which does what it is meant to without costing too much
One of those products that just works. Not the cheapest UV filter but inexpensive and excellent value. You can pay more but for the vast majority of users this is all the UV filter they will need. Actually you can spend less and get a perfectly good UV filter but there's a bit of comfort buying a brand like Hoya.
