Heavy because it had a pile driver function (ver cool). Reminds me of stuff built back in the 80's. Solid, simple, bulletproof.This and a cheap LED lamp out two is as good as or better than the $200 lights sold by other companies (at huge margins I'm sure).

this is built very solid heavy duty steel . has some weight to it which is good . cant wait to use it . worth the money .

This is a very useful device. It's great for hanging light, portable speakers and anything else you need off the ground and up above. I got the tripod version to allow me to move it around the campsite. However, on unpacking it to use a 2nd time I noticed there was rust forming on the tripod legs. Not good, especially at this price.

I had to choose between this and the other lighter one. This is heavy duty and seems very sturdy and last very long. I had to return it only due to weight is too heavy for me…. Thats just personal preference. Four stars due to metal joints are easy to slide down if not tighten. if not careful, may easily cut the finger. The tripod adds more stability.
