NagaokaMP Series MP-500 & MP-500H Replacement Stylus JN-P500

Just installed on my mp300 and already sounding great.

This is in my believe the best MM cartridge you can get. There is no things when I listen I think, I wish they did this...Yes there are even nicer sounding ones, as far as I heard them all MC which is extra expensive since now you have to use a step-up transformer and stylus replacement gets pricey whit these. Cannot beat the $255 for a new stylus here.Most Cartridges (other brands) we buy today are made by Nagaoka.Nagaoka also still makes their own tips hence they have full quality control.Ortofon is one of the other manufacturers who still make their own too cartridges to which are also very good.Also happy to learn Amazon sell replacement Stylus for it for a very good price.Highly recommended.

The JN-P500 was a replacement stylus for my JN-P150 that came with my MP150H. It has a nude (whole diamond) fine line contact profile on a boron cantilever, and made an immediate and noticeable improvement. This was not the recommended upgrade path for an MP150, but it fits perfectly and sounds incredible. The line contact profile will track better and extracts more detailed information. No treble boost or harshness, just super clear natural sounding detail. Highly recommended.
