I needed to repair several screens that were coming apart. This tool took care of the issue with ease and saved me a trip to local hardware store to have them fixed. One side of our home gets very strong winds and our screens have come loose a couple of times. This tool was a real time saver for me.

This tool is grippy and strong and easy to work with. I’d recommend having some gloves while you’re doing this because you can sometimes slip and hurt your fingers a little bit in the process. I also only use the single edge side in my opinion. I’ve noticed that when you use the double side, sometimes it will actually tear a little hole on the inside corner where you are laying the screen mesh, and then you have to redo the replacement. When I am installing mesh, I liked to always push the rubber spline in from the outer edge of the rubber, so that I don’t have the possibility of damaging the inside part of the mesh. Also, I found if you’re trying to get it in it is helpful to have a flathead screwdriver to push in the corners and then also I would pull the screen nice and tight while at the same time you’re going to pull the rubber spline nice and tight so that it can make it easy for you to roll it into the frame and then loosen up so that the rubber can expand once it’s sitting in the frame.

It will roll up on the edge of the frame and cut your new screen. Take your time like instructions tell you and it'll be fine
