Great results with proper process and application!
Great results! I used both the henna and indigo to cover grays and achieve a dark, nearly black color. I used distilled water that I boiled but then let sit for a few mins before adding to the henna powder. Mixed it up in a glass bowl with a plastic spoon, no metal. I covered and set aside the henna and let it sit for 2.5 hours. One hour before the henna was done sitting out, I did the same process with indigo but only about half the amount of the henna. Indigo mixes much better than henna which is always a little clumpy no matter how much you mix. I let the indigo sit until the henna was done, about 45 minutes. When the henna was done after sitting for 2.5 hours, I combined the two mixtures - about two cups of henna mixture and one cup indigo mixture. Once those were mixed well, I applied to damp hair that I washed without shampoo or conditioner, just very warm water. I placed a shower cap on and sat outside in the sun for 30 minutes (you can also heat with a blow dryer) to get the mixture melted and coating all hairs. Then I went inside and let the henna/indigo process for 3 more hours (total 3.5 hours). Rinsed it out with warm water and conditioner only. Following day, I mixed up a bowl of indigo only, let sit aside for 45 minutes, applied to damp hair rinsed with water only, let sit for 2 hours (30 mins in sun), rinsed out with warm water and conditioner only. This is the following day after final indigo process, styled with a blow dryer. Two-step process with great results!**Henna/indigo does not take as well on previously dyed hair as you’ll see in my photo (I have some color damage on the ends, look to the roots/upper area to see the beautiful color deposit). When my hair gets long enough, I’ll trim those off. Henna is a process but it’s much better than getting cancer from chemical hair dye.**Place a towel over your pillowcase first night sleeping after a dye day(s).**Gray hairs pick up more red tones.

Perfect in every way, for me
I have a lot of grays to cover, and the ends of my hair were bleached and dyed hot pink with splat hair dye. I love that it covered my natural grays, matched my natural color, and evened out the pink to a pretty redish color. I bloomed 4 tablespoons of henna in hot water and a splash of vinegar, for 4 hours, and I bloomed 4 tablespoons of indigo in hot water for 1 hour, then mixed them together. I applied to my head and kept it on for 4 hours. Do not wash out with shampoo. I will be using this again and again.

I love the coverage it gave my grey hair.

Did not cover grays.
May be better for lighter hair, not sure. Mines is dark brown. Took a week to show color.

I was sent the wrong color...
I ordered dark brown and received Indigo. I didn't want to wait any longer to color my hair, so I just went ahead and used the indigo. I am quite pleased with the results. The product itself is great and I will be ordering more... The indigo is $2 less than all the other colors, so hopefully if I order dark brown again, I'll get dark brown and stop losing $2 on each order 😂
