My wine cooler had an extremely bright temperature readout. It would light up a dark room. This blocked most of the light leaving it readable even with room lights are on. The film is very thin and disappeared when it was installed, which was exactly what I wanted.It also cuts easy. You need to be under good lighting to see your cut as the sheets are very dark and shiny.Highly recommended.

I bought this to dim my very bright new clock, it worked great to take the edge off. Though it is still fairly bright so at night I turn off the light ring and change the numbers to red which does the trick with the dimmer sheet attached. I think two sheets might work better and plan on trying that out. Size wasn't exactly right for this clock (but I knew that since I measured before buying), but I really like that I could just stick it on and not worry about cutting something to fit. It sticks on really well so make sure you line it up right the first time (I did not, lol). Looks good to me though and would buy again!

I love this product, I used it on my microwave, tv light and a few other things and now I can sleep in my room without all the other lights keeping me up at night. Truly an amazing product.

Wasn't sure something like this would actually dim the clock enough to make a noticeable difference, but it actually worked!

I recently bought a new GE over the range microwave. Everything is fantastic about it but the absolutely unnecessary brightness of the clock and function display. There was no way to dim it, only the option was to turn off the clock. The LED clock would light up the kitchen at night which is near the master bedroom.I purchased these dimming strips and cut to size using a ruler and razer blade. To apply I cleaned the area with isopropyl alcohol, let dry, and peeled back only a small portion of the clear backing that the film is attached to, attached it once straight and slowly applied with my thumb while removing more of the backing until the film was fully on there. It brought the brightness level down about 4 or 5 levels. Seems like it adhered really well and might need to use the edge of a fingernail or razer blade if it needs to come off in the future. Time will tell of its longevity with steam and stuff coming up from the cook top, but overall I am impressed with this product.

I used this for my heat and air thermostat because it is lit all of the time and it’s across from my bedroom door. The hardest part in using this tint was fitting it. I used a sticky note, made folds where needed for a good fit then stuck it on the tint sheet lining up 2 sides so only had to cut 2 sides. It has a sticky back on it but cut went well and when I fitted the tint sheet there was hardly any light around the edges. The tint looks blue when placed over my white light but a color bulb might cause the tint to change colors.

I used it on my new oven to dim the clock light which was too bright. Easy to use and clean, adheres well, well worth the investment.

This dims the glow very well while still allowing the clock light to be read perfectly. However, other reviews about the adhesive are correct. The adhesive does not work. You will need some sort of tape for it.
