Starcraft II Battle Chest - PC Standard Edition

Hard to review such a well known PC game, all the reviews are already out there. Chances are if you bought this Battle Chest, you knew what you were getting into. Great game, and the cheapest price for getting the 3 of them together as collectibles. They include physical DVDs, which was what I was looking for, and some other collectibles inside are nice too.

If anyone is looking forward to play StarCraft II for the first time (like I have), I highly recommend buying this 2016 Battle Chest edition bundle. This bundle includes the base game (Wings of Freedom - The Terran Campaign) and its expansions Heart of the Swarm (The Zerg Campaign) and Legacy of the Void (The Protoss Campaign). The campaigns are a sequel to StarCraft and its expansion StarCraft: Brood War so if you are going to play StarCraft II for story (like I have), I recommend playing the first game and its expansion first before playing this. Some people didn't like the story of StarCraft II but I really enjoyed it. I haven't played much of the multiplayer before making this review, though, as I finally just got done with all campaigns and it took a good amount of time to complete the campaign. Definitely worth the price for that alone.It kind of sucks that the Legacy of the Void expansion standalone is also around $40 and you can get Legacy of the Void (and every other campaigns) from this Battle Chest bundle for $40. Blizzard should reduce the price for the standalone Legacy of the Void expansion since it's pretty much pointless when this Battle Chest bundle is pretty cheaply priced. If you have or don't have the base game (Wings of Liberty) and if you don't have Heart of the Swarm expansion and Legacy of the Void expansion, get this. It will save you the money.

This SC2 game is super fun and entertaining! Well worth it! The original SC game is also super fun and Blizzard just released the HD Remaster of the original Starcraft game. Both Sc1 and Sc2 are awesome games!!

Game is fun and certainly reminds me of Star Craft back in the day. Did I get older or did the game get considerably more complicated? I don't want to be too harsh, perhaps I simply need to spend more time learning all the units. At this point in time, the unit options seem a little over the top. Controls are easy, software runs well on my system, the story line predicable but also fun with amazing graphics.

The second disc is blank. I can't play the legacy of the void campaign. Blizzard's customer support is non existent keeps suggesting to go to the online forums. Is the forum supposed to send me a download of the game I bought?

the installation time was kind of slow and needed internet access to download lots of data. I do not know whether this is normal but I thought all relevant data should be contained in the disks. Anyway I can play after a long wait.

Wonderful games. I was late getting into the Starcraft series but I am glad that I finally did. The unique campaign is wonderful with many RPG elements to it.

This review is not based on the quality of the games but what is inside the package.Pros; well if you putted off buying any of the Starcraft 2 campaigns so far, or just the last one: Legacy of the Void, then this is a good purchase. It comes with all three campaigns, 7 co-op commanders, also a little bonus: Artanis for Heroes of the Storm. They all come in two discs in paper sleeves or a single redeemable code. There is also a free card pack key for Hearth Stone, a guest pass key for World of Warcraft. There is also a nice little blizzard memo book. Well, I did not buy HotS and LotV so the value of the package for me was quite high. Somehow I feel that this release is the final finished product of Starcraft 2, a single true sequel to the original Starcraft.Cons; if you are contemplating buying a physical copy then I would assume you are curious about collectible value of the package. Well, it is pretty low, comparing it with Warcraft III battlechest, containing nice guides and booklets and discs on jewel cases, this one is a regular size box containing all of the above. The package of the box itself is quite nice with a panorama screen.Amazon has these chest in short suppy (Nov '16) hence they go above $39 which is the most you should pay for it.

Lo compre por querer tener algo fisico de la franquicia, y no decepciona. Instala el juego, pero requiere coneccion a internet y cuenta en Blizzard para descargar los ultimos parches. Contiene Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm y Legacy of the Void.

Es muy buena para coleccionistas que buscan tener los DVD y la caja, que puede desdoblarse en la parte frontal y contiene una ilustración épica y fotos y explicaciones de algunas unidades . No estaba enterado que las dos primeras campañas son free-to-play y pueden descargarse en línea, es por eso que considero que el costo solamente por la tercera expansión es un poco elevado. Sin embargo, si no se cuenta con una conexión rápida descargar los más de 20 GB puede convertirse en un problema y ésta es una buena alternativa que además incluye un block de notas pequeño con ilustraciones de SC2.

Me encanta, la caja es preciosa, lo malo es que la licencia del juego es en un codigo que vinvulas a tu correo, deberias tener ya la licencia en el disco comp anteriorme te se manejaba, asi se pierde totalmente el valor del disco en cuanto se canjea el codigo.
