Ginger Ale, 440ml 4-Pack

I absolutely love ginger ale but hate the price of it at the store! I love that you can adjust how much flavor you put into each bottle that you make with the soda stream!

I’ve been using SodaStream for years, and the Ginger Ale flavor is one of my absolute favorites but it’s almost impossible to find in my local grocery stores. I checked multiple places and it was always sold out or simply not stocked. Buying directly from the company’s website wasn’t ideal either because the shipping fees made it way too expensive for just a few bottles. I was genuinely relieved to finally find it here. The flavor is exactly what I want: crisp, refreshing, and not overly sweet. It tastes even better when I control the carbonation level myself. I love that I can keep this on hand and make ginger ale whenever I want without paying ridiculous shipping or driving around to different stores trying to track it down. If you’re a SodaStream user and this is one of your harder-to-find flavors, this listing is a lifesaver. I’ll definitely be keeping it in my regular rotation now.

I ordered this a while ago and the first bottle I tried the contents was very tick like honey, it would barely come out of the bottle. I threw it away. The 2nd bottle was a more viscus consistency like most soda stream mixes. It seems to be fine. I'm not sure if over time the contents get thick? Don't know enough about it. I've ordered other soda stream mixes in a 4 pack and they stay very liquid and easy to add to the carbonated water. Is this unique to Ginger Ale? I have no idea. I would say it's 3.5 stars tastes ok maybe they sent me some old product?

Not sure I like this flavor (ginger ale). The syrup is very thick, like it's mostly a pure sugar syrup with a strong almost citrus flavor. It pours like corn syrup out of a bottle, and very sticky. It's not a strong ginger note, either. Tastes like something else, I can't place it, but comparing it to an ordinary glass of Canada Dry Ginger Ale, the Soda Stream version is lacking. Also, beware that shipping quality is dicey. I've been using Soda Stream products for a few years, I go through a 4-pack of Cola bottles every 3-4 weeks as an Amazon subscription. Many of my shipments arrive with bottles inside the box that have leaked. A few times, I've had to return the order because the leakage was so bad. No problem with refunds, but I'd rather not have the hassle. Soda Stream syrup bottles do not have an inner seal, so if the bottles lay on their sides during shipment, expect to receive wet, stained, stickly boxes. For nearly $6/bottle, I do not understand why Soda Stream cannot find a better way to make their products leakproof. I don't like receiving damaged products. Figure it out, Soda Stream.

Do NOT buy if you see the price anywhere above US$22 for a pack of 4. A single bottle at Target is like US$6 or so, so 4 should be around like $24, but with this pandemic, people have been price gouging, especially with the cola flavour as I’ve seen it for US$44 fo a pack of 4 which is insane and ridiculous. While I do prefer to drink cola, the ginger ale flavour is much more tolerable than the cola flavour as the cola one has this citrus aftertaste that’s rather quite off putting, especially if you’re consuming a lot. This should last me a good few months I believe. Also, if you don’t own a SodaStream machine, seltzer water from BJs is a suitable option as well since their seltzer water is quite carbonated, so it can bear the syrup. I wouldn’t try with sparkling mineral water though since it’ll fizzle out quite quickly.
