just what I wanted!
I saw other reviews complaining about the amount of tinsel in one box. Yeah, it doesn't look like much. However, it more than sufficiently covered our 5-6 foot x-mas tree. I even had a significant amount left over. They are thin, yes, but that's how tinsel IS. The difference between this and the other brand that is sold (Bright Star??) is that the other one comes out of the box all wrinkled and awful-looking. This brand of tinsel was nice and smooth and hangs on the tree very well. It's quite expensive (tinsel just a couple of years ago was 99 cents/box at the hardware store), but that's because almost nobody makes it anymore. Hence the premium price.I will definitely buy it again next year if they are still making it!

Exactly hard to find thin old world tinsel
If you know how Northern European X-Mas trees are decorated and care for that look, this thin tinsel will be exactly what you want. The reviewers who complain about it are clearly not looking for this. The tinsel sold at most stores is too thick and does not give this delicate effect. You do not decorate strand by strand, you use little bunches of it to drape over the branches. Takes no time, sweep up the ones that fall, replace on trees. The tacky stuff that passes for tinsel, thick ropes or garlands is not what this is. If you are not familiar with the style, do not order it. It is very fine. Once upon a time it was made of lead...(before we knew...). It will amplify the effect of your lights and give the tree a pretty shimmer. It is not cheap agreed, but it is a must for some and hard to find. If your tree is very big you will need two boxes. One box covers a medium tree.

I am a tinsel fan
Tinsel has made a come back in a big way. I purchased this to add to our Christmas tree decor. It went on easy however I feel like gold on a green tree was more difficult to see than possibly silver on a green tree. I ended up using a lot more than I expected in hopes to make it show up. The quality of this tinsel was good, it went on easy, and actually removed fairly easily as well. I thought the clean up would be more difficult but I was happily surprised with it. Grab extra you will use it. Or maybe try the silver if you want a higher contrast.

Oh, Christmas!
UPDATE: I didn't realize that this tinsel is longer in length than the usual packs sold. I decided to give it a try and WOW! My tree looks amazing! I hung the tinsel from the top, working my way down and I'm in love. Added some pics to show length on lit tree and unlit tree.I LOVE tinsel on my Christmas tree! It's old school, shimmers in the lights and brings so much joy to our tree! I've never been a fan of the garland or the wide ribbon, so this is perfect! This year I am going to trim the tree in gold. It's been harder to find locally, so I bought not only the gold but silver too:)

VERY THIN and difficult to apply
This tinsel is cut so thin that it’s almost impossible to apply except in large clumps. It won’t separate from its packaging without pulling massive quantities of tinsel with it. I ended up throwing the majority away. Find a different brand. I ended up going to Etsy to buy vintage tinsel for future decorating.

Love
I needed some tinsels for my tree because they just really top off a tree. This comes with a lot and I highly recommend ordering if you can't find any at your local store.

Great
I probably used 1/4 of the packet for my tree this year. Did the job and happy to have extra for the next upcoming year!
