Lifegard Aquatics 1-Inch Bulkhead Fitting Kit

Great quality and perfect fit into PVC. I won't be using the elbow piece for my setup but it seems to work ok. The tolerance between the elbow and the strainer is a bit loose for a horizontal setup (the 1/2" bulkhead kit that I also bought was perfectly fine), but as long as you have it vertical it would be fine. The strainer fits fine right into the bulkhead, which is how I will be using it. Half the price of many other pieces online; would buy again.

I was looking for bulkheads forever, but didn't know what they were called. If you need a water tight seal going through another object this is what you need (you can find them without the extra fittings also). I used this to add an above ground tank to an in ground pond. The filter pushes water from the pond to the tank through the bulkhead. Use a 1 and 3/4 inch drill bit to cut your hole. One strong recommendation is to get a check valve if your using this on the suction side so water can't drain back. These fitting are solidly made and work great.

Worked great for an additional drain to the pond for me. Easy to use.

I like the Lifeguard fittings, they work well, But I've found no use for the extra fittings in this kit. Before you purchase a kit make sure you need these other fittings! If not just buy the bulkhead and save your money...

Solid build, well finished. Threads are solid and there is little chance of stripping these out unless you really try hard! Used for an outdoor aquarium setup and work perfectly for my purposes. Bought 2 sizes to cover the bases. Kept this for future use

I received the product on time and everything worked out great. I can tell the quality of material is high and the parts fit together perfectly, so installation was easy.

Bought 3 but one will not accept a 1 inch pipe

I used this to add a drain to my 100Gallon rubbermaid pond. Put it right near the top just below the outside lib and I can easily adjust the outflow height with the 90 degree elbow to adjust when it will drain. Perfect!

As others have posted - not a 1 inch bulkhead received.Does not take 1 inch pipe.My fitting was 1 1/4 inch

I used this to make a DIY above ground pool sand filter, covered with pantyhose to keep the sand from going through it. Works well!

Bought the wrong size bulkhead! Oh well. Ended up using the strainer for a sump tank connection for a 240gal Aquarium. Saved many of my fishies and even a couple shrimp from certain filter death. Good quality plastic bulkhead though.
