Standard Pocket Chart, Blue

We bought this for use in our home. This is our first time owning a pocket chart, so I don't have much to compare it to. However, I thought I'd help out with some things I've noticed.This pocket chart works great with our 3x5 inch index cards. It holds 6 index cards with a gap in between each one. If I get them really close, 6 and a half. We use the full cards for our words and the half cards for punctuation, so it works well for us.The overall size is 34" wide x about 43" long. It seems much bigger than what I had envisioned in my head. It barely fits on the roll-around laundry rack that I have it on. With the height of the rack included, it is as tall as my 5.5 yr old son.The rod sewn in is at the bottom of the chart. I guess it helps keep it from curling up at the bottom and maybe adds a little weight to keep it straight?It seems well made and was shipped so that the plastic strips were not bent up at all. It was folded vertically in the package. Although I can still see where the folds were, they are not obvious enough that I need to try and iron them out. The fabric seems thick enough, and doesn't collect dog fur.DS likes to block off a room of the house with it and pretend like it's a secret gate. We take turns reading the sentences on it (the password) to open the "gate". The other person makes sure they read the right "password" and "unlocks" the gate.Overall, I would buy this product again. I could see this as being a useful and durable teaching tool for educators.

I bought this to use in our classroom at church to display the weekly and monthly curriculum elements. It has been perfect for that. It has held up well, even with little hands pulling on it frequently. The plastic rows/pockets are open on the top which makes it easy to change out the contents of the chart as often as you need.

Fabulous! Very big and not very heavy, so it is easy to hang. The metal grommets at the top make it versatile for hanging anywhere.It is easy to find premade strips to use. There are so many ways to use a pocket chart.This was a great investment for our homeschool classroom!For our first project, we built sentences. It soon led to the kids creating a whole bunch of their own cards (using index cards, cut in 1/2). The creativity that this tool inspired, made it well-worth the (very reasonable) cost.

I ordered these for my Mami, she is a Jr High School teacher. She kept complaining that she could only find this product in the teacher store and that they were expensive...of course I hopped on to Amazon and found this item for her. Ordered it, it arrived promptly and was exactly what she wanted for the best price! It was black and she uses neon words, eye catching. Would recommend.

I actually have a concern regarding the packaging of this item, which is probably more feedback for Amazon than the seller (if dif from Amazon). The pocket chart is great and just what we wanted. However, the size and amount of the packaging materials was RIDICULOUS and so wasteful given the size of the product. As a hugely successful company, Amazon should be doing better at resourcing items and watching the waste it creates. Not ok! The photos I have included show the actual item (flat and somewhat flexible) and then the packaging....oversized box & WAAAAAAYYYYY too much paper!

It is quite larger than I had anticipated, but works great. Good, sturdy quality backing with long plastic slots for word and picture cards. We use it for homeschool pre-K and my 2 and 4 year old boys went right up to it as soon as it was up. Perfect to have for sight words and letter of the week vocab to be in sight throughout the day.

This is absolutely fantastic. My son and I use it for a variety of projects from math to science to english. We aren't limited to just words and poems on the chart. We even play sorting/counting games on it. It is very durable and that's coming from a mom of a 4 year old boy who's quite rough on things. He's even accidentally pulled it off the wall hooks and the chart had sustained no damage whatsoever. This is a great chart for the price.
