What kind of ink is in the bk440? Water based or oil based?

Hello consumer! The item noted as BK440 Wow! Features an oil based type of ink. Sincerely, Consumer Quality Assurance team Pentel of America, Ltd. 4000 E. Airport Dr., Suite C Ontario, CA 91761 (USA) 1-(855) 528-4101 warranty@pentel.com

How does the writing compare to the pentel rsvp?

I like this pen a lot better than the RSVP. I think they have the tendency to run and it makes your paper(s) messy looking and difficult to read. I threw a lot of RSVP’s in the.garbage for this reason. I don’t like throwing things away if they have a use, but when a pen does this, it’s better to just throw it away

Is medium the same as 0.7mm or 1.0mm ?

Sure. Keeping in mind that this pen is a total pile of crap. With that being said it goes from 1.0mm all the way to.00001mm in one single letter. It cuts out more than a 13 year old boys voice. Did I mention this pen is a pile of crap? Anyway I hope you make the right decision and use a quill and squid ink instead, old school yet reliable like having a fancy hipster moustache (thats how hipsters spell it nowdays). Hope this helped.

Do these pens write upside down well? I like to lay in bed and write.

Hello, I had to try to write upside down while in bed, and yes it does write while writing upside down. Who knew, we do now. I wrote for a while and the pen just kept on writing. So that is a pretty neat pen to have. Happy writting!!

My Favorite Pens

Not only is purple my favorite color, but I use purple a great deal during Bible study to represent the words of God and Jesus. These pens write smoothly without skipping. The pen grip has a great shape, not small and not too large. The "cushion" around the grip is wonderful for preventing hand cramping! Would recommend them highly.

LOVE 'EM!!!

✅ Great ink! ✅ Dries immediately, no smearing... ✅ The side retracter never jams or break. 💯 They're not cheap by far. ❤️ They're my favorite ink pens. 🤭 I've purchased five boxes within three years... about to buy another box. I use them for work. 🥰 The colors are beautiful. I just wish the green ink was darker 🤷🏽‍♀️

Pretty purple color

The purple color is dark and the medium point is how I like it. No smearing and the flow of the tip against the paper is smooth. The shape of the actual pen is taking me some getting used to. It’s the sided and I sometimes feel myself fumbling to hold it.

Favorite Purple Pen

I am known for using a purple pen. This is my hands down favorite. I have only had one quit so far, looks like one of the plastic buttons broke off, but no other problems. Thank you for selling my favorite purple pen in a multi-pack.

Smooth Writing

Absolutely Love these! I picked these up specifically because they were purple. They write very smoothly, are comfortable to hold, and they come with a nice pen grip already in place. The ink dries fairly quickly too so there are no smudges. Only thing I didn't realize at first was it's not a click pen in the traditional sense. There is a button to push on the side to retract it, pushing the top button a second time wont work. But that's just fine for me~
