The 5-Minute Fixer
If youโre doing any kind of property maintenance or hobby restoration, you know that some things just need a bond that won't give up. Iโve been using this Gorilla 2-Part Epoxy for various repairs around the house and on my collectibles, and it is incredibly handy to have in the toolkit. The syringe design is the real winner here. It dispenses the resin and hardener evenly, so you aren't playing chemist trying to get the ratio right. It sets in about five minutes, which is the "sweet spot"โlong enough to adjust your placement, but fast enough that you aren't sitting there holding pieces together all afternoon. Once it cures, it's clear and rock-solid. Whether it's fixing a loose handle or reinforcing a display piece, this stuff just works. Pros: โข Ease of Use: Syringe ensures a perfect 1:1 mix every time. โข Set Time: 5 minutes is ideal for quick but precise repairs. โข Bond Strength: Holds up to 3300 PSI; itโs not going anywhere. โข Versatility: Works on metal, wood, ceramics, and most plastics. Cons: โข Single Use Cap: If you don't clean the tip perfectly after use, the cap can bond to the syringe, making the second half of the tube a challenge to get to. โข Odor: It has that classic "epoxy funk" while curing, so use it in a ventilated area. Verdict: This is a staple for any DIYer. Itโs affordable, reliable, and simplifies what used to be a messy process. A solid 5-star "toolbox essential" that Iโll definitely be keeping in stock.

Worked well for my application
I wanted to repair the arm pad on my office chair. It had cracked and fell off after who knows how long but I like the chair. Plus, office chairs are sooo expensive now! I don't want to replace it if I don't have to. So, I got this epoxy. The instructions are easy to follow. I did have an issue with the dispenser. One side of the glue spit out more than the other. You need equal parts of each tube for this to work. I squished out more than I needed to try and get the mix correct. I used a piece of cardboard to mix on and dabbed the glue on my parts with a cardboard strip. I walked away, so I can't comment on the drying time. It does have a strong chemical smell. That's why I walked away. Use outside if you're sensitive to smells and dispose of the mixing cardboard outside and not in the nearest trashcan. 2 days later, there was a faint smell of epoxy. But, the chair is fixed and good as new.

Here are some tips to getting a perfect result!
Having worked with different kinds of epoxy before, here are some ideas to follow (if at all possible) in your project. In my case, the result I wanted was a "pour" so that the parts were encased in a solid epoxy. First of all, ignore the little mixing area provided and get some tiny cups (plastic shot glasses from the dollar store, etc.) Your next step is to "score" the 2 parts you are binding if at all possible. What does that mean? put deep cuts like "x" marks all over, using a sharp nail file, hard sand paper, anything you can to scratch the heck out of the two sides! This gives something for the bond to grip - its a very important step, don't skip this especially if working with an otherwise smooth object. Leave the dispenser upright while you are doing all of this so air bubbles float to the top (Towards the plunger). Have several stirring objects ready, I like to use hard clear plastic cutlery knives. Mark the dispenser with a magic marker line, so you can estimate where to stop dispensing. HAVE 2 CUPS AND 2 STIRRING RODS READY..Unplug, and push down evenly on both sides to fill your tiny cup - then quickly, pull the plunger back upward, dry the ends off and cap. (If you are using the whole thing, dont bother). Stir rapidly counting to 15. Now, here's the secret - pour the contents in the SECOND CUP, and stir another 15 solid seconds using a SECOND CLEAN STIRRING ROD. You may ask "Why bother?" Trust me (for this is not my invention and it is a known technique) this gets rid of mixing problems and creates a rock hard result! You are now ready to apply - I used the second stirring (plastic knife) but you could also use the provided wooden stick, etc. It's also reasonable to pour the contents on to an object - be aware tiny bubbles do exist using this epoxy, it sets too fast for a perfect clear look. One final item to consider, temperature. Epoxy sets best between 75 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 29 Celsius) and thus you really should put your project somewhere slightly warm if you want a 24 hour hard cure result. A well known trick is to put an electric heating pad on the lowest setting, in a box (plastic or whatever) under a few rags. Place your project in the box, and cover slightly - BUT NOT AIRTIGHT. I monitored the box using a kitchen thermometer just to observe the temperature. If you follow all of these steps, you can expect a rock hard plastic like result in the end - having tried it myself, I recommend this product!

Incredible Product
This epoxy is incredible. I had a smashed bird bath made of very porous pottery that was put back together by Godโs grace and this product. This is a very heavy bowl that seemed to be ruined a few days ago, but now itโs in one piece. Mix the 2 part gel mixture quickly and spread heavily on the pieces you want to join. It bonds quickly but the pieces must be held either by your hands, or clamps. Leave it to set before moving on to more pieces if necessary. Donโt hesitate to make this purchase but know you must hold the glued pieces together for a minimum of 3 minutes.

Rock solid little insurance policy
I reach for this Gorilla 2 Part Epoxy anytime I want something to never move again. Recently used it on a threaded insert thatโs going to be holding some real weight, and this stuff basically turned it into a permanent feature of reality. The 5 minute set time is nice โ thereโs just enough working time to get things aligned, but not so long that youโre babysitting the project all night. I really like the syringe format because it keeps the ratio dead simple and you donโt waste half the tube guessing. It cures clear enough that it doesnโt look ugly if a tiny bit squeezes out around the edges, and once itโs cured, it sands and drills decently well if you need to clean something up after. Strength-wise itโs on a totally different level than normal super glue, especially for inserts, hardware, or anything that might see stress or vibration. Couple downsides: itโs a bit messy if youโre not careful, and once you crack open a syringe for a small job it kind of feels like youโre wasting some product unless youโve got a few things lined up to glue. The smell isnโt horrible but itโs still epoxy, so ventilation is smart. Itโs also not the cheapest adhesive out there, but for critical joints where failure would be a nightmare, itโs definately worth the cost.

UTIL Y PRACTICO

The 4 pack is the cheapest
The 4 pack is the cheapest per unit I ever found from any other store so itโs the best one to buy. Specially since the 2 pack is the same price as the 4. Product is great and does the job very well for various usage.
