I've been buying the Miracle-Gro Shake 'N Feed for more than 10 years. In the past I used to buy the shaker bottle that comes with just a couple of pounds, but it doesn't last and turns out to be more expensive for covering all of our plants. I have a system programmed into my Google Calendar whereby I fertilize all of our plants every four months: Trees, bushes, fruit trees (lemon, banana, orange, fig, limes) plus all kinds of flowers from bougainvillea to philodendrons, to all of our indoor and outdoor potted plants. Our smallish, but pretty backyard, is LUSH and verdant, in no small part, I'm sure, due to using this Miracle-Gro fertilizer pellets on a consistent, regular, basis. Oh, btw, we live in HOT Arizona too, so the results are even more amazing. About a year ago I started buying these 8 pound sacks because in the end they last longer and turn out cheaper, and all I do is simply refill the shaker container I bought some years back from these sacks. I've bought three of these so far from Amazon. No smell. Very little powder flying around (but it does get worse near the bottom of the bag). It's a good product that will keep your plants beautiful for a relatively inexpensive price.
