Strong after 2 years and no flats!
I've primarily used these tires for commuting. And the occasionally 50 mile ride here in Los Angeles where the road bike pathways are quite lengthy and accessible. Not once yet have I gotten a puncture or flat. As I have read the reviews you can tell they are nearing their life cycle when you see the inner threads. Thankfully I'm not to that point just yet. However I might get there with these hill rides that push you downhill at high descent speeds. Another thing I have added is thorn proof inner tubes. So my bike at first felt a bit heavy to pedal and ride. But with a couple of rides I adjusted to it. Was a pain to get them mounted with the durable tubes but like another review mentions. You get a damn good mileage out of them and they're worth it.

Well Made, Works Well
I have over a 1000 miles on the set I'm riding now. NYC glass all over the place. Knuckleads in monster trucks all over the place, so making last minute detours not always possible. These have made getting to and from work a lot less stressful. Have ridden Conti's for years and will continue to do so.

Very puncture resistant
I had one of these on my road bike for 6 months, during that time I got one flat (one of those small pokey bits of metal from car radial tires) and that was it. Even got 7 goatheads and just pulled them out. I must also say that I use a Mr Tuffy Lite tire liner too.The only negative I found about these tires it that they are VERY hard to get on and off.

The HARDEST SEATING OF BEAD ever.
I like this tire, A lot. This is my 3rd one. I have been running 700x23mm before.. They are tough, grippy, a little ugly, and lasting and protects from flats. Just got the 28mm for my new rim a few days ago. said it was in back order but they got it to me quick. a few days previously expected. anyways back to the tire. Nice tire, new, thought mounting was going to be cake walk like the others I had and mounted before. . . . . . .. .1 hour Later, finally got the 0)(##()$* on. Thumbs are sore, exhausted. I thought I was going to return the thing a few times. I mounted it once, twice, re-positioned my rim tape twice to make sure it was perfect and not on the side at all...... Mounted a 3rd... still could not get the tire to sit right in 1-2 spots not matter how i worked it, repositioned it.....checked online about tips... "soap and water" ... Hell i'll give it a try. remounted a 4th no luck...Took the dam thing off. soaked the tire with mass amounts of suds and soapy water and the inside of the rim. mounted as quick as possible and aired it up... almost one more spot to sit, deflated the tube, drenched the spot with soap again and aired it up quick again and BLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY GOT IT. Never had an experience like this mounting a tire like this before at the shop i work at or with previous tires. Meh.The bike had a hop in the ride when not seated properly so if you get this or any other tire that is a trouble maker hit it with a lot of soap and water around the spot then air it up quickly as possible to get it seat.I love this tire but not perfect. slippy in the rain and ugly. Needs color options and a stronger side wall. Still it's my go to tire for nasty debris in the riding path and commuting.

Gator Hardshells Are Almost Too Nice to Ride!
I put a pair of these in 700 X 28mm on my wife's bike a few months ago when she was having problems with flats on her rides to work. I can't say enough good things about how fast and comfy they are. I expected them to ride stiff, but the 28s are supple in the way my standby Michelin Pro 4 Service Courses are -- and those are the most supple tires I've ridden since the Italian made Vittoria Corsa CXs I had back when we all rode sew-ups.My wife isn't a geek, and couldn't care less about tires, but from the look on her face the first time she rode the Contis it's clear she has no plans to give them back.Build wise, as you'd expect from Continental, the tires are objects of art. Flat protection wise, I have to expect they'll be as tough as any tire on the road. These tires are not for penny pinchers, (on my own bike I use mostly Michelins which are also excellent and are easy to find marked down) but with the Conti you know you're getting a best-available product, bar none.

Great tires.
It was my first time installing tires on my bike. If I could install them, then you could do it as well.My bike now feels totally different with these new road tires — much better. German made tires, well worth the money. You have to pay almost double if you go to your local bike shop — for tires+installation.

Holes in new tires
Showed up to my house as a pair of tires. One was fine but the other has two holes in the middle of the tread.

Great Tires
Bought these tires for the extra protection from flats. So did the guy I bike with. We average about 100-120 miles a week. And except for really large chunks of glass or metal shards, these tires deliver. In the two years we've using them, I have no flat tires. The other guy had two flat tires but somehow he road over some really large pieces of glass and metal. And after two years of biking, one of my tires began to show some splitting so I bought them again. I recommend these tires.
