DR Strings HI-DEF NEON Acoustic Guitar Strings (NMCA-12)

The colors pop like crazy. I was a little hesitant to order because I was so unsure what they might sound like, but jeez I was suprised. I got em tuned up and the first thing I fired up was that big open E chord and those fresh strings rung out and hummed so loud and warm. I was super surprised and had that feeling of relief set in. I guaranteed I'll be ordering more of these very soon. They just feel like regular acoustic strings if you were wondering. I'm not sure if that's stain or paint, but it works well and you don't feel it at all. Just feels like regular strings 🤷‍♀️I put a little string lubricant on them yesterday when I got them and after it sat all night I ended playing guitar for probably 10 hours today. I could not put the dang thing down lol. I had a blast playing these today and I John Mayer'd the hell put of them. 10/10, 5/5, 100%

The media could not be loaded. I bought these strings for my daughters guitar. She loves the colors of course but better yet, they sound great and are the lighter strings that she was wanting. Her last strings were nylon and while she likes the feel of the all nylon bottom strings, they didn't sound great. These strings however checked all the boxes for her 1) easy on the fingers 2)sound great and as a 3)bonus give her guitar a new look

These arrived fast, and were exactly as described. They look amazing on my black acoustic. The sound however... leaves a bit to be desired. They definitely aren't as bright sounding as normal phosphor bronze. But hey, they are flashy. I am a street musician and they catch the eye for sure.

At first I was reticent about getting color-coated strings, for fear that they'd have a loss in tone and feel "fake" under my fingers. I have a quite psychedelic finish on my acoustic, so I figured I'd take the risk and get some matching colorful strings - if they didn't live up, then I'd just toss them away and go back to my Elixirs. Boy, was I wrong!Amazingly, these strings have a bright and full tone, and remain bright and full for as long as my Elixirs have! I've had these for a while now and play several hours a day with them and haven't noticed any change in tone - it's just as bright as the colors they're made of! Talking about the colors, they glow in black light and have a blazing neon intensity in sunlight. You can see the colors from far away and lend a really cool vibe to your guitar.My only issue with the strings is that they begin to lose a little color in certain areas - mainly where you pick and where the fret touches the string. After a lot of playing they begin to lose their brilliant shine, but that was entirely expected. They haven't chipped or given me any issues other than that though!

I enjoy using these strings. I used earthwoods for years and since I play 15-20 hours per week as a professional musician, I need strings that last and aren’t going to break on me AND are affordable. I like how long these last, how they sound, and the colors get a lot of attention. I personally rank these in between earthwoods and elixirs. Not quite the tone and feel of elixirs but eons ahead of the earthwoods and closer in prices to the earthwoods as well. Will buy again.

The strings sound great, that's what I need for my guitar Merida extrema sadhu, but the beautiful coating quickly wears off, I bought this brand only without the coating, the strings sound the second day after installation, and the guitar plays as it should.

Wish they were higher quality! A little cheesy to put on an acoustic

If looks is all you’re after, go ahead and purchase these as they look amazing! Although, they do not sound well when played on and broke within the first week. Those that did not break within the first week, the strings started coming apart and it became nearly impossible to play.
