Thomas & Friends TrackMaster, Ryan & Jerome Train

My son was thrilled to see this new Trackmaster train. I had a hard time finding this train available as it seemed to be sold out everywhere I looked. So when I found it here I grabbed it with a quickness. I am going to go thru everything for this review in sections so if you have something you wanted to know about it will be easier to see.*PACKAGING* The train and 2 cars came in typical Thomas & Friends packaging. A rectangular thin cardboard/ cardstock box. There is a small window on the front so you can see the train and cars inside. Very easy to unpack as all you have to do is open one end and pull the train out.*ASSEMBLY* No assembly is required except the purple Ryan train does require two (2) AAA batteries that are not included. You will need is a small Phillips head screwdriver. Takes about 2 minutes to complete this.*QUALITY* This train is muddy Ryan with his flatbed and Jerome the Crane. All 3 pieces are 'splattered with mud' as if they were out working on the Sodor railway. Beautiful details throughout all 3 pieces. the crane is fully operationally manually and my son is pretty rough with it and we had had no issues with parts popping off.*OVERALL* This is another amazing addition to the Thomas and Friend motorized Trackmaster line. Please note this is the new style of train which is actually the 3rd generation of Trackmaster track system. I know it does work with all 3 tracks systems but is slower on the older 2.I would recommend this item for sure. Hope this review has helped you.

My son loves his new purple train. He is still working on the name Ryan. The crane, Jerome, is also wonderful. The crane moves. Rotates 360 degrees, the arm extends and folds, plastic yellow piece disconnects from the second car and can be connected to the hook on the crane. The one we received has the face on the crane cabin. I wonder if the other reviewer just ended up with a missing face on their crane, QC defect?It was worth the wait to add this train to our Thomas collection.

Nothing else can be said than to see the smile on my grandson's face. He just loves Thomas & Friends trains.

Our Son is a major Thomas enthusiast!! He knows everything about every character. He was disappointed when the crane didn't have a face. It's advertised with a face.
