Works well
I used to use Weldwood plastic resin, but they no longer make it. This adhesive works just like it. One drawback is that it is very costly. The other is that the directions state to mix it by weight. Who has a scale on the job site? I did so rough calculations and used 2 parts of adhesive powder to 1 part pater and it worked well.

Cascamite vs weldwood
Our company uses resin glue a lot… the glue we use to use for many years has been removed from the market (probably causes cancer in mice in California). So we’re forced to search out an alternative… Cascamite is not as good as weldwood plastic resin glue…. But it is an excellent alternative.

Excellent, try it, you won't turn back.
Excellent value. My new all time favourite. Mix only what you need, the rest lasts indefinitely. No more dried up glue and strong as hell.

Did not function well
I bought this to use as a glue/paste for a fiberglass/ like paper mache sculpture. I followed an old recommendation that have a recipe for using water, flour and this resin powder to create a life size paper mache tree that would be as hard as fiberglass. We followed the instruction explicitly, but the paste never smoothed out, immediately lumped up despite tons of mixing. Then in use, it didn’t dry very well or hard, and much of it had to be torn off or replaced. We ended up using a paste formula that had water, flour and Titebond III liquid wood glue. This mixed beautifully, was easy to work with and dried to a very hard, fiberglass surface. So…an unusual use for us, but it did NOT perform as it has apparently in the past for this sort of projects
