I love Troxel Helmets. I live in Australia and it's difficult to find helmets with colour. I now have the Ruby and Cobalt blue. I have a large head but I discovered the large was a little too large for my 61cm head so I purchased a medium and couldn't be happier. It's a MUCH better fit. LOVE my Troxel Helmets. Super fast delivery from the US and great price, including postage. Still cheaper than purchasing in Oz, and I couldn't get the size and colour in Oz. Thanks Amazon.

I purchased this helmet in pink last year for western trail riding. As an adult relearning how to ride this helmet was invaluable. My horse is very green so I was thrown at least a half dozen times. This helmet saved my life. One day I was racing a friend who's horse suddenly cut to the left causing my horse to do the same. I landed on my head and was then stepped on by my horse. I suffered a major concussion. If I would have not been wearing my helmet my skull would have been crushed by the weight of the horse stepping on my head. The helmet did not dent from the force of the impact. This helmet is extremely durable and easy to fit. I highly recommend it.

I was unsure on the sizing, but I went through almost all the reviews and decided to try a Medium. It seemed like most people who had the mediums worked out well, and I don’t have an abnormally large or small head lol! I wear approx. a size 7 in hat sizes. I was definitely prepared to return/replace for a smaller or larger size, but thankfully, the medium was PERFECT! I also tried to use the measurements as listed, but ultimately I just winged it!The dial-fit system is great for adjusting to get a snug fit, and I don’t have to use the flip-fold system either, so I can’t comment on how well that works or doesn’t. It’s just an all-around great fit! It’s comfortable, light-weight, and even though it’s the winter, it breathes well while riding. I’m hoping that during the summer months it’ll keep my head cool! This is my first riding helmet I’ve owned since I was a kid (no joke), and I’m extremely happy with the purchase. I bought my kids the Ovation helmets which are good as well, but I’ve heard the Troxels are pretty top-notch. You pay a little more for them but it’s well worth the little extra!Overall, extremely happy with this purchase!

I've been wearing Troxel brand riding helmets for years - at least 10. Once when I was thrown from my horse, the helmet took the brunt of the fall and broke instead of my head! So I was very disappointed when I put this helmet on. It seems Troxel has changed how the straps are attached on the inside of the helmet. Just behind the temple of my head the attached strap presses so hard it gives me a headache. I even tried added more padding and then a larger size to no avail. I still have an old Troxel so I compared it the this one. Sure enough they are constructed differently with the strap being attached so it is more prominent at the point of attachment. So sadly I returned this beautiful but very uncomfortable helmet and bought a different brand.
