Lutron MRF2-6ANS-WH Maestro Wireless 6 Amp Multi-location Switch, White

I have had this switch for 3 or 4 years and it is excellent. I use it along with a Pico controller and the car visor mounting clip. The range is far more than claimed, so it is easy to switch on the porch light from the car, enter the house, and then turn the light off via the MRF2-6ANS installed the wall. My experience with motion-sensor exterior lights is that they are highly unreliable, but the MRF2 has been dependable. Some have noted the high price, but in my application, the cost is no more than buying a cheap / dumb switch and a luminaire with motion sensor and has the advantage of actually working.I am using this switch to control a pair luminaires, each with a 9W Phillips CFL lamp; a total load of 18W.A neutral is required in the outlet housing the MRF2-6ANS. When I purchased the device, I believe there was a sister product that did not require a neutral, but the sister product required a much larger load to function. Don't trust me on that- you'll need to read the spec sheets. I felt, long term, it was important to have the neutral and avoid the wasted power on a higher power incandescent or halogen lamp.

I used this to turn my stairway lights on, and it works pretty well. I paired it with the LRF2 battery-powered ceiling motion sensor. I was going to put a motion sensor switch at the top and bottom of the stair, but the wiring was impossible and this was the only solution that Lutron could recommend. Occasionally it takes much longer to turn on than expected; maybe one time out of twenty. Pairing was easy. The switching is also silent.Cons: first and foremost, the price is rediculous. They must know there are few other options. Lastly, it would be great if this talked to my home automation system, but you have to buy from a whole separate product line for that. Why?? They have something to learn from GE there...

The product itself works great with the wireless ceiling occupancy sensor mounted in my garage. So I have awarded 5 stars and highly recommend this product to others. Be warned though, if your order is fulfilled by Amazon there is a good chance it will arrive damaged. Both my original order and the replacement order arrived badly damaged due to grossly insufficient packaging. Each time the product arrived with the paddle scratched and metal bent because the manufacturer's box was crushed and the various bits and pieces like the screws, wire cap, neutral wire, and instructions were rattling around unprotected. This was not UPS or USPS fault but rather how it was packaged in a cardboard envelop with zero padding nor any protection that was much too large for this item. In both cases, Amazon's customer service was not helpful as the only solution is to return, reorder, and wait since this was technically only fulfilled by Amazon. I generally understand this approach except when it's their fulfillment that's directly responsible for the issue at hand. Rather than return and order another replacement, I will purchase from a different vendor.

So I have a 3 way for my staircase, but there was a leak at some point and the BX wire got correded within the walls, now it functions has a 1 way switch that relies on the other switch to be flipped in the on position. Very stupid, so I thought this was would work. After the installation nightmare (instructions were great though if you know how to read them), I've had this on my staircase for about 5 months now. Pico Controller is very responsive, it has worked every single time instantly. Just like a regular light switch. My staircase get's alot of traffic so I'm very pleased it's been standing up. Hope to get a few years out of the controller hopefully

I use this light switch in conjunction with the  Lutron LRF2-OWLB-P-WH Radio Powr Savr Wireless Ceiling-Mounted Occupancy/Vacancy Sensor, White  to turn on my garage lights when my garage door is opened. The switch supports fluorescent ballast lights and does not produce flickering that was present in the less expensive Leviton motion sensor switch that I purchased from a hardware store. The switch and sensor was expensive, but well worth it when pulling my car into the garage at night.

I've been using this switch with Lutron's Powr Savr Wireless Wall-Mounted Occupancy/Vacancy Sensor in my kitchen to control 9 recessed LED retrofit lights. Functionally, the occupancy sensor worked flawlessly, however we couldn't live with the intermittent light flickering. Lutron's technical support is excellent, but at the end of the day they could not explain the flickering. As soon as i replaced the switch with a simpler Lutron Maestro dimmer there is no longer any flickering.BTW, the total wattage is less than 150 watts.Still in search of a solution that supports a remote/wireless occupany sensor.

Easy solution to a difficult problem. I wanted to add another switch without the hassle of opening up walls and running wire. This did the trick. It took about 15 minutes to install both the new switch and the remote switch. They work perfectly. Totally happy with this product.

Best wireless light switch I've tried, and I've tried several. Others were unreliable -- this unit's remote action always works correctly. Use it in a basement stairwell which was never wired for a switch at the bottom. Coupled with the Lutron wireless remote at the bottom of the stairs. Works fine with HIT LED bulbs also purchased here on Amazon.
