Matricom G-Box 8-Core Android 4K TV Box [2GB Ram/16GB HDD] Q²

Righting this review after using the G-Box for over two years. This is my second G-Box and we love it at my house. Only reason I'm buying the new one is to give the other to my daughter. The old one still works great and keeps itself up to date. Totally cut the cable and our friends who pay a fortune for their media provider each month, come to our house for best entertainment. Highly recommend this excellent product, with the latest version of Android, the version of Kodi which comes on the BlazeKey and all the apps installed by the BlazeKey.Wanted this device for it's excellent entertainment and not for a lot of instillation work. Therefore I also got a "key" to autoload the most popular apps. Super easy to use and installed all you really need. I get tired of arrowing around and selecting letters with a virtual key pad when I'm searching and it does not support a mouse. this box is not worth it. it does not work properly, i have to restart the box several times by removing the power cord because the power button does not work on the remote control. it freezes while watching programs.another issue is upon starting the box it takes a while to function and continuously put a message "refreshing weather".went to online on the g-box forum to solve the issue about "refreshing weather "but it still does not work.i am frustrated with this box.i would like the seller to contact me.thanks.

the remote it comes with is worthless. buy a wireless keyboard or rii mouse/keyboard remote thing.

I purchased this to update my older box. I was able to download KODI 17.1 on this device which my older box would not allow me to do. Kodi works great, but with the usual buffering problems. I googled some ideas on how to eliminate some of the buffering and it worked. Now my buffering is down to a minimum. I would recommend the higher speed G-box, but for the money, this is a great box.

I have purchased through this account and my business account 24 of these boxes. I have had only one problem with one box and that was the power supply. I reported the problem directly to Matricom on a Wednesday and I had a replacement Friday. They didn't even ask me to send the power supply back. These boxes are great. If you want to run Kodi, this is the box. Period.

After using this box for just over 3 months I am still very happy with it. I had to update the Kodi to help the performance but once installed I cant find anything to complain about. User interface is easy to use and there is plenty of online support for the device and software. Remote works as expected to but I bought an after market remote with a keyboard to help with typing. As with any Android device you do have to unplug and reset the box every once in a while but it is not a deal breaker by any means.

My item cam and cannot power on and Amazon refuse to replace since I live in Guyana and it's expensive to ship to the USA. Matricom is still to respond after 2 emails! So don't buy this item! Other reviews says the same too I wish there was an half star! Check the photo! Even though I offer to send them a photo!

I purchased 2 one for a gift that one not sure have not heard anything from the person yet, like myself we don’t watch a lot of TV, but the one I got for myself is no working worst do gone, ever time I try to watch something it never plays all the way, it freezes up and don’t play at all. Truly wasted my money on one need to check on the other one
