I was having a problem fixing my leaking bathtub faucet tryin to use just a wrench. The Part would not come out. I decided to order these. Worked just fine, didn't bend or distort and with the force distributed evenly I got the part out. Bathtub faucets fixed! Happy with this set. Like how there's a "keeper" to hold them together. I can also use the shipping box it came in to store them. I'll be moving next year so I can take these with me. Thumbs up for me.

These shower valve removal sockets are all you need to remove and replace old shower valves. The valve seats require separate tools to remove. These sockets arrived on time, and are of great quality. I highly recommend them for the job.

This tool worked perfect. I was able to unscrew the valve nut. Replace the old valve stem and reassemble the unit.

Repairing a bathtub faucet, even if you're only replacing a washer, can require removing the faucet cartridge from an area with very little clearance. This set makes it simple. I bought it so I could replace two washers, but found that the actual cartridges were damaged and needed to be replaced, so I had to call a plumber. The plumber borrowed this set because he had left his at the shop. He said these were the best you can get. I don't know if that's true, but they do the job and will spare you from the frustration of trying to make some other tool do a job it wasn't designed for.

I consider myself an above average handyman and work on cars a lot. So I have (what I thought) was pretty much every socket size known to man. Metric, standard, deep well, shorties, wobbles, you name it. Ditto for wrenches.So when it came time to try and change the cartridge on my Kohler faucet I thought it would be a 2 minute job and done. I couldn't figure out why a 1" socket was too small but a 1-1/8 was too big. Not the actual sizes but you get the point. The nut is inset so you can't get a channel lock in there without tearing up the metal of the faucet housing. The nut turned out to be a something and a 32nd of an inch size. Are you freaking kidding me?The one tool I did not have was "plumbers socket wrench set" or I guess a shower valve socket wrench set as it's apparently called. The right tool for the job is always the best way to go.Anyway, one of these sockets fit the valve nut perfect AND THEN it was a 2 minute job. For how often I will use these, they will be in brand new condition when they get passed down to my son.If you need a set of these, you need them. This seems like a good set.
