Does each stand has 3 ton capacity or 2 stands = 3 ton?

Each Jack has a 6000 pound capacity sticker - ie 3 tons each. The jacks are very well built - most important if getting under the car. Cheers, Mike

Where are these made?

They are currently made in China. Previous versions may have been made in the USA but not anymore.

I hate to spend money with the communist enemy of the usa. are there good, usa alternatives to these chinese made jacks?

These jackstands are awesome. I use them under my jetta because (1) they are super stable (the feet are large) and the rubber pad top fits in the grooves on the unibody jack points to support my car without putting unnecessary stress on the sheet metal "pinch points". As for where they're made... no one in the US or any of its compatriots manufacture things like this anymore. Especially not for this kind of pricing. If you wanted to pay $200-$300 for a pair of them you might be able to get a welder to make some for you. Otherwise, quit whining and buy your jackstands.

How will the pad hold up if I put the pinch welds of my Highlander right on top of it? It weighs about 4,200 - 4,500 lbs.

My pads split under a miata (2400 lbs) after a few uses. Buy pinch weld pads
