These pastels are pricey but they are really nice. I got them because the color range is really good. Every color you would need. The gradients are perfect for blending. I also really like the wood box they come in. It is a beautiful dove tailed wood case with sturdy latch hinges to keep the top secure and it is padded with individual foam slots to protect each pastel. There are two trays that nest on top of each other perfectly and do not shift. There are ribbon tabs for handles to lift the top tray out easily. It is a lovely set. I like that I can purchase replacement pastels individually open stock at art websites like Dick Blick. The pastels are a medium-soft consistentcy. They are soft to blend but do not crumble. The edges are good for detail drawing but they can also blend out good to create soft looks too. If you take good care of it this set will last you a long time. It is a good investment... I really love this set😊

Bought them as a gift so no chance to return them. Many of them were broken and melted. Looks like they were in that condition prior to shipping because the box itself was fine. Maybe i was sent an old box.

These are so beautiful I just looked at them for days before I finally started using them they were so pretty! So happy they didn't break during delivery. Rembrandt is my favorite pastel!

The price was right, but will upgrade to a softer brand next time.
