Doesn't work
The forward or reverse switch is the only part that works. There is zero speed control. It's either on or off with the direction switch. The speed control does nothing to change anything no matter what position its in.

Not control at all
Bought two and both did not work. One has 1.6V out put and the other one has not speed control at all. only the switch worked. Don't waste your money on these.

Still going strong after four years.
I installed this variable speed control in my RV max fan because the variable control and that unit failed. I basically bypassed the original system and installed this. It has worked flawlessly and provide smooth and infinite speed control for the motor on the RV fan. I recommend this product.

Excellent little chip and swtch combo
Installed easily but had significant issues powering board sufficiently. It seems the product was rather sensitive to how tight connections were and what kind of battery powered it best. Eventually narrowed it down and found that Rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries worked best. Once troubleshoot, product performed as intended with no further issues.

Great little unit; used this to make a low-end RV fan work better than a top-end one
This PWM module helped me to convert a low-end Maxxfan with only 4 speeds (non-reversible) into better than a top-end model. Instead of "only" 10 speeds, this PWM controller allows an almost limitless degree of speed control, as well as making my fan "reversible". Adding in an Arduino with a thermistor, and the whole thing can be set to turn on at a pre-set temperature. I may even look to make the Arduino control the fan speed as a function of temperature (would make a DAC using resistors, or use a SPI one to drive the potentiometer).
