Panasonic New DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone Handset Accessory Talking Caller ID Compatible with KX-TGM430B Series Cordless Phone Systems - KX-TGMA44B (Black)

My husband works for the Railroad & yrs ago, he had to fix a Horn that was stuck and lost some of his hearing... other home phones just weren't loud enough, where I had to talk for him ... I bought these specifically for the BOOST feature (for extra loudness)... this works well , now he has no trouble hearing any conversation . A few other things I love about these phones... the SLOW feature, when playing back a message -when someone is saying a return phone # too fast...you can SLOW it down and catch the #, without repeating the message again & again.. I also LOVE that it holds 100 names/ numbers in it's Phone book (last phone only held 50)... that it has a WHITE backlit display uses larger lettering, very helpful to read from a distance - has blinking red lights too...also goes a very nice distance from the house ... about 400 ft away, it's still working clearly from the house... Another feature I love is : you can set the phone to SPEAK the # each time it is pressed, so you "hear" it -- I have never seen this feature before on a phone. We use MAGIC JACK with this phone.. no problems at all.. works GREAT.. There is a blocking feature , I have no used this yet... it has a number of "Groups" you can list your names/ numbers under to help find them quicker... and you can designate a different RING to each group...which is also very nice! The handset itself is heavier & larger than what I was used to, but with all these wonderful features (& more I haven't explored yet)... I was compelled to write this review ... these phones are expensive.. but they are HIGH QUALITY & can really help those who want a larger clear display and need a boost in Hearing.

I purchased the KX-TGF575S system but found that the handset speakerphone is not very loud and with some calls almost unusable. This handset is from the amplified phone systems. There are several handsets that have this amplified handset speaker as well as handset speakerphone. The question I had was will it register with my new system. I found the "Panasonic Telephone Handset Compatibility Cross-Reference and Owners Manual Locator" document. There are many Panasonic systems that the amplified handset will register or "work" with. Yes "work" in this case means be realistic the amplified handset isn't exactly like the handset in the other system so it will have different buttons and may not do everything. If sound is what matters and you can live with a couple things being different, than it "works". The Handset Compatibility document has foot notes about compatibility but keep what I mentioned in mind. So far everything that matters to me works. Make SURE your system allows another handset to be registered!! It depends on the base you have and how many handsets you have registered, you can always remove one if needed. The handset registered, the phone book works, the answering system works, My Bluetooth Paired Cellphone still rings and I can answer a call from it on the amplified handset!! The display is different on the amplified handset so you have to accept that part. There isn't a button for "Assist" that allows the voice assistant function and I haven't found a way to use that on this handset, but the things that do work mean more to me than that does. That may be a deal breaker for some people so understand the possible things that may not work and choose accordingly. Sound level is MUCH louder than the new systems handsets on the handset speaker and speakerphone and that's WITHOUT the boost button on. It's more like the original Panasonic phones that were so great like my old stub antenna 5.8 Panasonic handsets that were tanks and fifteen or more years later still work. I like this product and I'm picky being an engineer. No of course it's not perfect, I'm sure I could list many things that I would improve if I wanted to, but its a cordless phone.

Pros: Loud ringer; loud boost feature; the red parts of phone blink when there is a call or a voice mail message; setup is easy if you are technology inclined; the phone book can save many phone numbers, has speed dial, buttons are big, phone has long battery life. Cons: Speakerphone without boost is not loud like a speakerphone should be; the backlight does not shine through the dial pad adequately; the screen does not lightup, not enough speed dial numbers (only 9 phone numbers can be stored for speed dial). Summary: I bought this for my mom who is visually impaired. Her good vision comes and goes. When her vision is not so good, the dial pad backlight and screen are not bright enough for her. She loves the boost feature, caller id and loud ringer. She wishes there were more than 9 speed dial numbers.

This phone has everything I need and the quality is well worth the little extra cost. It is extremely difficult to find a phone with a headphone jack and this one has one. Most phones including cell phones hurt my ear after even a short period of use, this one doesn't. The volume is great even without the boost and the boost works as advertised. And a bonus that I did not notice until recently is that it flashes bright red at the top of the handset when there is a message waiting at my phone company voice mail. The phone may be a bit heavy for some, but I like it because it feels solid. I am hoping that if ever I need another phone, this one is still in production. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Well worth the money. You get for what you pay rings so true for this phone.

Its loud !!!

I have had at least five cordless phone sets in our house over the past 50 years, and this Panasonic model is the best ever. The volume is excellent as its range and the battery life seems very good. As I aged I found that I needed a louder volume as my older phones, also Panasonics, could not provide although they were otherwise very good cordless phones. The State of California has a program that provides for free phones for seniors and I was fortunate enough to obtain my current Panasonic with the base unit. As I enjoyed using it over the past year, I decided to purchase a few more handsets and these have worked out well for all of us in the house.

I am prepared to give this phone a 5 star rating although it could be improved in the future. The volume control is good and the volume boost certainly an excellent feature for the deaf. It also helps compensate for some calls that are amazingly quiet even to persons with good hearing. The frequency adjustment button is OK but needs some getting used to when you first answer the phone. It has helped me understand many callers but not all. I would prefer to have a dial that can be turned while you talk to zoom in on the callers voice frequency. The set frequency tones are difficult to manage during a call when you are trying to hear what is being said and also need to adjust the volume. Having said all that I do like the phone and would recommend it to the hard of hearing. I wish it had blue tooth capability for head phones that are compatible with this phone. Chain calls are a little cumbersome but manageable with experience. These phones are good value for all their plus points that others have stated so well in their comments. I am still a beginner so I have much to learn and wading through instruction manuals gets tedious unless you are actually going to use the features.

I bought this to go with the compatible base and handset we’ve had for years. Bad idea. This is useless! The screen goes blank, and the phone goes dead, after a few seconds off of the stand. While on the stand, it beeps occasionally, like an old smoke detector in need of a new battery. Needless to say, I will be returning this.

As advertised

So far. So good. It was easy to pair with my other Panasonic cordless phones. Makes it much easier for my hard of hearing husband to be able to use the phone and much less frustrating for those trying to talk to him on the phone.
