I achieved amazing results but you really need a random orbit sander or an electric buffer to get the best finish.
I recently got a really good deal on a Galaxy Note 8.0. tablet. The reason was the lens cover for the camera had major scratches, really deep and the photos came out as if you had a “soft lens” on it. Like for 1980’s glamour photography. Usually you can just replace the plastic lens cover, I have done it before on a galaxy S4 phone. So I bought it and after much searching found no lens covers for sale that would work for the Note 8. Only choice was to buy the entire back case, for too much money. So onto Amazon I went looking for something to polish the lens cover. I have up-loaded a photo showing the before and after, it is a pretty dramatic difference. First off, I read many of the reviews for the NOVUS Plastic Polish and saw many that said they never even used the #3 Heavy Scratch Remover. I think because of the amount of scratches I had, this was the one that really removed the deep scratches and the haze. At first I tried to use the cloth that came with it, and just my finger, I started with #2 thinking #3 would be too harsh, but I soon realized that this way was not going to do it. Or maybe it would have worked but it would take many, many hours of rubbing. I used my Ryobi 5 in. Random Orbit Sander, and a cotton cloth cut to fit on it. I really don’t think you could achieve what I did with out one, the whole process took about 45 minutes. I taped up the back cover with painter tape to protect it while buffing. I had to run it in short sets, like 30 seconds a full speed then stop and make sure the lens cover was not getting too hot. I would add a very small amount of water to the cloth then some more #3. But slowly I could see the outer edges of the scratched area getting smaller and smaller. I kept the process up until almost all of the haze was gone, there was a small spot (size of a pin head) on the outer edge that would not effect the camera’s image. I then changed out the cloth and began the process again with the #2. There were noticeable swirl marks from the #3 but still much clearer than it had been, I would have been happy with that. But after the 3rd stop to add dabs of water and more #2, the small spot that was left over from #3 was gone. I kept it up until it looked like nothing was changing; it was not getting any clearer. I removed the painters tape, and started the clean-up process. Peeling the tape up and using the #1 cleaner on the back of the tablet and ending with the lens cover. The results were way more than what I expected, the lens cover was polished and shiny, the camera’s photos looked great. Even the decorative metal ring that is around the lens cover was shining. So to wrap it up the NOVUS Plastic Polish is capable of amazing results, but you might need to have some other tools to really get the most out of it, namely a random orbit sander or a small buffer. The RYOBI sander I used does 12,500 orbits per minute, if you moved your finger once every second across the area you wanted to polish, it would take a person 3.5 hours to do what this sander does in 1 minute. Or 5 minutes using a sander would be the equivalent of 17.5 hrs by hand.

Clear acrylic "ghost" chair damage from pure acetone reversed!
Oh my god. I LOVE this! I bought it before a few years back just to polish the plastic on the interior of my car. It was good, but I didn't have major scratches. Fast forward to redecorating my apartment & buying clear "ghost" chairs (Ikea, Polycarbonate plastic, but still $80 a chair) and an acrylic tray I got from West Elm on deep discount because of a deep scratch (85% off) & figured I would deal with it, even though it bothered me every time I looked at it (so anal). Well, a couple of days ago I saw some thing stuck on one of the chairs, right on the top back, which I tried cleaning off with regular cleaner to no avail. Then I thought..I don't know what that is..maybe nail polish remover will get it off? OK OK - I didn't know that acetone absolutely destroys plastic so immediately and thoroughly! Pure acetone takes SO long to take fake nails off, I couldn't imagine a tiny dab for a second using a Q-tip could do so much damage. Nooooo!!! How could it possibly be worse?! It was so bad, dull scratched and about an inch all around, totally obvious above the table & no way to hide it. The cleaning ladies came and asked me what happened & I shamefully admitted to it. I was thinking I had to buy a new replacement chair just weeks after buying this set. Ouch. :-( And then I remembered this stuff & thought it was worth a try. The Novus kit came to my door & I immediately went to test it on the chair. I figured... it was my last hope. I skipped #1 all together and tried #2. Nope. Nothing. Then #3... and it was working! The edges that were slightly damaged were clear again. I went over it 5 times and you absolutely CANNOT tell how badly I messed up. It is perfectly clear & see through again. And my eagle eyes cannot even tell where the scratch was! Now only you & the cleaning ladies will ever know what a dumb thing I did. Yippee!!! Then I used #2 to take out some minor scratches on the seat of another chair (probably from someone's jeans that had buttons or metal) and it cleared up in one coat. It also polished up the tray with deep scratches like a charm too (only took 1 coat of the #3). Miracle stuff! I am SO happy I remembered this exists. If you have ghost chairs (especially those that paid hundreds of dollars per chair) or acrylic in your home, I recommend having this on hand. We KNOW acrylic furniture will scratch, but there is a way to polish it up!

Worked better than anticipated
The windshield on my Piaggio scooter was pretty scratched up in some areas, due to plants it hits as I scoot by to get into the back of my driveway. Thought I’d give this a shot, because the cost of this beats the cost buying a whole new windshield by a very long shot. I got the smaller sizes because I felt the larger sizes would last me until the sun red giants and fries the planet. (Turns out to have been a good decision. A little goes a long way.) Anyway, I skeptically applied the #2 light scratch to a small area and noticed that a goodly number of the scratches vanished. Not all the scratches, mind you, but a goodly amount. Then I applied the #3 heavy scratch to the tougher scratches. Again, a number of them came out after applying the #3, then the #2, then the #1 as directed. However, there was still a couple stubborn scratches that refused to come out, even after several applications to the area. So, there will always be some scratches that will remain beyond the pale. Just know that this isn’t some miracle elixir that will magically remove all really deep scratches. But, I really wasn’t expecting any magical qualities, so overall, I was pleased with the results. The windshield looks better than when I started: something that I can’t say about myself. So, my suggestion is to not get any scratches on your windshield in the first place if you want an entirely pristine viewing experience. Failing that, this is not the perfect “not get any scratches at all in the first place” solution, but it worked good enough to make me happy.

Erased a decade of scratches off my car's glossy center console
Wow. Just used this stuff for the first time. I've been searching for a way to improve the look of the glossy pieces of the center console of my 2013 Acura TSX, which had tons of light and heavy scratches across every inch after 13 years of use. After watching YouTube tutorials, I bought a mini polish machine and different polish compounds, tried them out, and had almost no improvement at all (while also causing a bit of a mess). Then, I saw someone on a random Reddit post recommend this, so I thought, why not give it a try? I used the No. 3 bottle, with a few microfiber towels, put on a long YouTube video to pass the time, and started scrubbing back and forth at a 90-degree angle. It takes awhile to see improvement, but after about 15-20 minutes of scrubbing, and reapplying a dime-size amount of polish every few minutes, I could see that the light scratches were almost completely gone, and the heavier scratches looked more "dull" and less pronounced. I had three pieces to do, so I had to be mindful of how much polish I had left, but in the end, I'd say it turned out about 90-95% better than what it was before. The light scratches were almost all gone, and what was left were the heavy scratches, which were more like light-medium scratches after the polish. I'm satisfied. It didn't magically make the pieces look brand new, instead, they looked more like pieces that had gone through 1-2 years of use instead of 13 years. I probably could have got even better results if I had polished it a bit longer (which I may at some point). There is something to be said about its ease of use: being able to use it with just some microfiber towels, and maybe while doing some other passive thing, like talking to someone or watching a movie. The only thing I'd take into consideration is how much you need, since the bottles are small (just a bit bigger than a travel bottle of hand sanitizer), so you may go through it quickly.

Ok, bottles leak when dispensing, shaking as directions state, or tipped over. Won't buy again.
The polish works pretty well, but the bottles are terrible and don't seal well. Leaks pretty badly past the lid. Won't buy again as there are similar products that store/dispense without making a mess.

I tried it on a touchscreen Android phone (LG Optimus V)
I had put my LG in my pocket with a nail file and some keys and was so bothered by the scratches covering half the screen that I was tempted to buy a new phone. I thought I would try this as a last resort. I know this was not marketed to capacitive touchscreens nor does it say anywhere that it is safe to use, therefore I was a bit hesitant. I first tried it on my old iPod video (not a touchscreen) and it seemed to make a big difference, buffing out hundreds of tiny scratches and leaving it with a screen that is easier to see while turned on, although it appears cloudy when turned off. I found that using a gloved hand with #3 gets you a lot further a lot faster and with less product than using any kind of cloth. After several minutes of #3, then #2, then #1, my phone was improved. When turned on I can see little tiny dots in thin lines of red/blue/yellow where the scratches used to be. In other words I have traded annoying permanent damage for less obvious permanent pixel damage which is easier to see through than the scratches. It is definitely an improvement and I would do it again. The touchscreen functions as before. Given that it DOES cause PERMANENT damage to the pixels on a touchscreen, I would only use it as a last resort out of desperation. This will not go anywhere near my iPad and I wouldn't use it for a couple of tiny little marks. UPDATE: After 2 months of use, my phone is super scratched up from normal use even with a protective cover. This makes me think that I rubbed off any protective coating there may have been. I now regret using this stuff on my touch screen.

Saved me $$Thousands$$ and saved my marriage!
I was *VERY* skeptical when I purchased this. My issue was not dulled headlights, a scratched motorcycle face shield, or something along those lines. My wife was cleaning the plexiglass that protects the built-in navigation panel on our BMW and encountered a little dirt that resisted her damp paper towel. She grabbed the nearest thing that seemed like a cleaner, soaked down a paper towel, and rubbed the finger nail poish remover all over the screen. You guessed it, severly damaged the plexiglass to the point that you could no longer see through it. I called autoparts stores, I called the BMW Dealers, I searched everywhere on-line trying to find a way to replaced the plexiglass without needing to buy a new nav/audio unit. EVERYONE (after holding back their laughter at using finger nail polish remover on the plexiglass) told me I had no choice but to buy a new unit .... $$Thousahnds$$! It was so unusable I spent $200 on a new Garmin GPS that sticks to the winshield. When I saw the Novus polish on-line I really didn't think it could help. But for the price, I couldn't pass up the possibility that it would AT LEAST get me to the point that I could see the radio stations again. Believe it or not, less than FIVE MINUTES after opening the Novus product the display was returned to NEARLY NEW condition. If you KNEW damage had been done and IF you KNEW excactly where the damage was you can still find it but you have to search pretty hard in the right light at the right angle. My guess is that I could spend another 3 minutes and make it completely disappear but, like I said, it is back to nearly new condition. Thank you Novus!

Removes yellow oxidation
I used this product on my car headlights. It definitely removes this layer of yelowish discoloration caused by oxidation and reduces the opaqueness. I'll use it on a regular basis to keep them as transparent as possible.

Excellent plastic refinishing & polishing
Works great & as advertised. The squeeze hold gunk up a bit & the polish lid doesn’t seem to seal properly, but this is relatively typical for this type of product, I generally just screw the caps off & don’t use the squeeze dispenser in the cap.

Yep, this stuff works!
This stuff works. I’ve been renovating a number of vintage turntables and needed something to take scratches out of the lids. I can imagine this stuff would take a huge amount of effort by hand, but I used foam and felt pads on an orbital sander, and a few minutes each with the two scratch removing compounds made a huge difference. The final polish didn’t do much, but I suspect it’s better with other plastics. Overall, I’m very impressed with this stuff. You can see clear the lid on my Garrard turntable looks.
