GRAYL UltraPress 500ml Water Purifier & Filter Bottle for Hiking, Backpacking, and Travel (Covert Black)

One of the kids (23) travelled around Australia and Fiji for 3 months. She used this bottle every day, sometimes as a standard water bottle. When she lived with in a Fijian family in a village, she filled the bottle from the local rivers and streams using the bottle's push down filter system. Katie pushed and drank. All the others in her party used trendy/fashionable pieces of kit. They had to wait for their filter systems to work. Katie was the only member of her group who avoided being ill. We can't recommend this bottle strongly enough. Still looks like new.

Great item, my boyfriend uses it every day. Product is brilliant design has lots of uses from filtered water to cooking/boiling water. Light weight design and decent size not to big but big enough to hold decent volume of water

Bought for a trip to India. Saved on buying bottled water. Used it to filter some very dodgy looking water and never had any problems.

I use it since July 2023 On most hikes and all camps . It is brilliant. In the cold it can be tricky to open though. A bit of a nack to it

I bought this Grayl cup after reading a lot of reviews, and was taking it out to Kilimanjaro with me in Oct 2022. It didn't work. It was broken, so I took it l the way up and down Kili and couldn't use it. When I returned I returned it for a refund, and have got a £43.94 despite paying a cost of £79.95 for it. So I've had a broken product and am getting about half of what I paid back. Beyond angry. Just an update. The owner and I had some correspondence and he was very decent, and has since refunded the full amount. So the 1 star is for the cup, as it didn't work, but to be fair to the owner he was very good and refunded. In relation to this cup, a few pals of mine bought it and they worked very well, I guess I must have just picked the runt of the litter.

So used this in Morocco. unfortunately, still had a little bit of an issue when I wasn't paying attention that there was ice in a drink at a restaurant, but up until then this worked nicely so I wasn't always having to buy water and was able to use to filtered water for brushing teeth and such. It is a bit heavy for a water bottle. I often would filter through this and then poor into another thinner lighter water bottle that held more. For those who have a hard time pressing the filter down. Tip: Keep the cap off or at least the top open. Cap off is better. When it gets hard let it sit for a few seconds so water has time to go through the filter and then press the rest of the way down before adding the cap back on.

Worked great for backpacking. After a few uses, outer shell sprung a leak. Seems to be manufacturing defect in the plastic seam. Contacted Grayl, lifetime warranty was honored and the parts were replaced.

Very awesome one not just for traveling but also in a daily base use if you don’t want to pay for less clean bottled water. Works a little hard at the beginning then it goes well a specially if you remove silicone part from the bottom ;). Better than Grayl GeoPress- the bigger one- impossible to filter by the woman because it’s so hard to push it down. This one is nice weight and easy to use.

The bottle arrived without a lid, rendering it useless. Had to return it. I subsequently bought one from a retail store and found it to do everything I'd hoped. Would have rated it 5+ stars if it had have been shipped with lid/cap.
