During the summer I go to war with the ants. At first I was trying natural home remedies, like vinegar and cinnamon, to destroy the ant trails. But all those do is confuse their scent and disrupt their paths temporarily. This terro bait gets rid of the whole colony at the source. And I prefer these bottles of the liquid bait to their prefilled bait traps because you can keep replenishing the liquid bait when needed, since it does dry and solidify after a few hours and then the ants stop eating so much of it. I’ve found they MUCH prefer the liquid when fresh. It’s like a thick syrupy consistency.At first I was just using the little squares they provide in the package, a few drops on each square and multiple squares. But using that method it took a long time to get rid of a nest, like the two weeks they advertise on the box.So I started building little “rafts” of a dozen popsicle sticks held together with packing tape and covered the whole thing with a bunch of drops of the terro liquid. I think this method works a lot better to disperse way more of the poison throughout the colony a lot faster. And they say to use this inside, but I prefer to use it outside so they don’t make trails coming into the house in the first place. Basically, I find the trail outside and put the bait down in the highest traffic area.The pic is of one of my rafts. The whole thing was swarming with ants when I installed it yesterday, and now it’s a ghost town. There’ll be another nest that pops up somewhere else soon. And my terro rafts will be waiting and ready to go to war once again.

Ants invade my kitchen every winter and summer. They're coming from someplace under the house and through the walls, entering under light switch plates and baseboards/window trim, so there's no obvious place to spray outdoors and no way to block entry. I also don't like the idea of an all-purpose (multi-species) bug spray because 1. I don't like toxins, and 2. I don't want to kill good bugs..only the invasive ants. Terro is my absolute favorite method to eliminate ants. It's successful regardless of ant species, and once you find the application that works best for you (I like these drops beter than the bait stations), ridding your house of ants becomes a stress-free task. This stuff is amazing. Put a drop or two down and let the stuff do the trick. You'll see ants but you have to resist going after them. They apparently take this stuff back to their nest and the poison kills them all! I have to use this 1 or 2 times a year when the weather is dry and the ants are looking for water. You won't be sorry you purchased this.

This product is amazing. I was using another kind of ant killer and was not working. The ants totally ignored the little traps. I bought this product and placed the little cardboard trays on the counter with very few drops of liquid. In about 1-2 minutes, the ants were coming out of nowhere and feasting. A MUST use product if you have an ant problem!
