Cute, and accurate
Smaller and neater than I expected. Lightweight, yet feels well made. Requires small (supplied) screwdriver to fit battery, though this should be done in a safe place to avoid losing the battery cover screw.Use is simple, with an easy to read and obvious ‘- o +’ style display, which will be familiar to anyone who has used a Yashica FX3 or similar. Especially useful to me as my FX3’s meter no longer works and this will sit neatly in the flash shoe instead.Press the button on the rear plate to activate the meter, then turn the aperture and shutter speed rings until the red over/under lights change to a solid green ‘o’. Transfer the readings to the camera. Both rings are clicked in half-stops (this is the model II, in the earlier model the shutter speed ring was clicked in whole stops only). Results are spot on when compared to my other exposure meters, including my (still perfect) Weston Master V, and phone apps. Some users have reported a too-freely moving ISO setting. I've not had this problem. It stays put on mine.In addition to the red engraved line which indicates the selected aperture/shutter speed combination, there's a couple of orange lines that show the adjacent matching exposure settings, or can be used to pick out bracketing exposure settings. What would be useful, and isn't supplied, would be a small case or bag, perhaps like those used to store earphones, just to keep it from being jostled in a camera bag, and which could also hold the screwdriver. For the price, it's a bit of a steal, and a fraction of the cost of the Voigtlander VC it's clearly modelled on.I'll update this review in about three months for a longer term view of performance.

Super piece of kit
I bought this lightmeter when the lightmeter in my vintage OM1n stopped working properly. It fits nicely on the hot shoe, is easy to use and provides accurate readings (as best as I can judge comparing them to my OM2n and phone app)The only drawback is it's vulnerability, especially if left in place when the camera is in my camera bag.

Not accurate
The ISO is two stops out. So if using a 400 speed film for example, set the iso to two less, which is iso 100. This gives an accurate reading. Slight flaw but otherwise an absolutely fantasticly useful item.

it is very small but works
As children the school photographer put his light meter in front of my face in my case black and white images only were available.Yes it showed him what Aperture and or Shutter speed was appropriate and ASI film 100,200 or 400 Now cameras have a build in meter for a good exposure. This little gizmo with a fixed ISO if 200 you set the Aperture desired say F4 as an exampleand push the little back button on the unit and have 3 lights- red green +red Turning the shutter speed wheel till green is alight on its own is on .looking at what alignes with the F4 for instance SS 200 or SS 250 works well and in a place with constant light gives you the settings for a good exposure when it's mounted on camera. My only gripe is the build quality I had to tighten most of the screws .

Seemed to work fine. Until it broke after 6 months.
Light meter was accurate and worked beautifully & then six months later whilst on a shoot the button to read the light stopped working and it got stuck down.6 months use for a light meter is not good enough and I’m annoyed that I dropped £60 odd on this.Should have spent more and gone for a Sekonic or something like that.

Decent value but let down by poor design
Just about does the job but the LEDs are very hard to read in any kind of sunlight and you need a screwdriver to access the battery compartment.Would try some alternatives if this was lost or broken

works well
was within 1/4 stop of my professional light meter. Brings a new lease of life to old cameras. Easy and intuitive to use.

Cheap but hard to use
I bought this clip on meter in silver to match my camera. The immediate problem which was obvious when I got it out of the box is that the markings in black on the silver are so so small and discrete they are very hard to read. I would think nearly impossible in poor light. The second problem is that the item is supplied without any battery and therefore will not work. This is unacceptable. It is made worse by the fact that the battery is a CR1622 which is an obscure size that is quite hard to find in the shops. I went to my local dealer and they didn't have it. Amazon of course do, so I have been forced to spend another £5 or so with them to get batteries to get the product working. I think this is unacceptable marketing and hence my rating of 2.
