HTH 67074 Filter Sand Care for Swimming Pools, 50 lbs

I'm writing this review in hopes it helps more people than the reviews I read. The product ordered was exactly what showed up, the packaging looks a little different. It works great in our pool filter. The filter came with the pool from Costco we just needed the sand. The pool is Bestway and the filter says Flowclear. We don't have sand in the pool and it doesn't clog anything. I added a picture so people could see what the filter looked like for comparison.

To be fair, the old sand was so horrible that anything would be an improvement, but this stuff has done the trick! We had an algae bloom at the end of the season and needed to clear it out before closing the pool. We were told we'd need a whole new system at 5,000 bucks so obviously we tried replacing the sand first. Thank god it worked. The sand arrived snug in the bag, no leaking in the box it was packaged in. I sliced a bag open when cutting the box tape though so be careful. We'll see how it works long term, but so far we're very pleased.

Bought for our turtle tank. It is working fine, packaging was simply a cardboard box taped around the bag of sand but otherwise it everything was fine.

I used this for my fish tank. I washed it to be on the safe side but I really don’t think it needed it at all. It laid smoothly in the tank and didn’t kick up much dust. My goldfish love sifting it and I had zero changes in my levels adding it to the water.

Perfect amount to line my 30 gallon tank with 2" of sand. It was a little difficult to clean, but easier than some play sand. Overall very pleased

Install and ran a rinse on the filter/pump for a few minutes. When started filter had no sand in the pool.

All three bags were damaged. One was damaged so badly it was undeliverable. Have not yet recieved credit for it.
