Great for the AR bcg’s and my handy slides.
I’m mostly a Ballistol guy. Spray and wipes. Bore is always a Ballistol soak for me come back 30 mins later and snake and clean them out. However Lucas gun oil is really good for the AR BCG system as it tends to run hotter than my long stroke gas piston and other setups. I do not think it’s fully necessary to use a lubrication like this as Ballistol has always done the job for me but I know a difference hitting proper lubrication points and think this stuff works well for that aspect of lubrication. For cleaning and protection I am going to always stick with Ballistol. You can’t go wrong adding Lucas gun oil though to help with contact areas of your internals as this does provide better lubrication than just Ballistol alone. I really don’t think one should over think cleaning but you should be thorough none the less. A good one for me to add to my German Ballistol clp process. I have noticed as well the cycling has been better with my nickel boron toolcraft bcg’s using this on my uppers..and it’s gonna be one I keep around for cleaning and lubrication. Be Brave ! And of Good Courage. It doesn’t have a foul chem smell like hopped or give me the vibes of having a Chernobyl birth in m family which is reassuring. Remember that cleaning dirty chems and powders shouldn’t be done with excess toxins. That’s what I stick with Ballistol and now added Lucas gin oil. Seems good to me.

#1 in auto oil additives, why not guns?
Always thought to myself the properties of a high performance engine oil would lend themselves well to firearm maintenance. I guess I was right in some regard. Anyway, works well, nice needle tip applicator, reasonably priced compared to Butter stuff.
