A great value
I like the stainless steel. I have not tested the water resistance. According to the chronometercheck website the 7S26 movement accuracy is reported to be -20 to +40 seconds per day. Mine runs about -10 to -5 seconds per day out of the box. I would say that is not bad for an affordable automatic mechanical watch. Seiko has a great reputation. Look at this watch or any Seiko and you will see how they earned and keep that reputation. Sure my Casio G-Shock is more accurate and useful but quartz and electricity do not evoke the same feelings that I get from kinetic energy and machinery engineered by people smarter than I. Anyone can appreciate the skill and craftsmanship that went into this watch.

Super value autimatic
Immediately replace the bracelet and enjoy. Not as solid a watch as a Seiko diver but for an everyday watch it's great. Easy to read, good lume and mine has kept excellent time so far! What's not to love?

Very nice watch
I really like this watch. My eye sight isn't the best, but the white hands show up well against the dark blue back ground. I still need glasses to see the date. I usually wear this watch on the weekends which means by Friday it has stopped working and needs to be reset. This watch needs to be worn in order for it to stay wound. There is no battery. Your arm movement is what keeps it wound. I'm still glad I bought this Seiko watch.

self winding watch
I remember having a Seiko self-winding watch back in 1969...beforethere was a glut of battery powered time-pieces..That thing never failedto give an accurate accounting of time..Well it's 2009 and I noticedsome expensive models ($175 and up) in a department store and thoughtto myself..Boy I'd like to own another self winder but the exorbitant pricekilled it for me..so what the heck..I'll search for one on Amazon andWa La..I found this great Seiko 5 watch for $65 and it's perfect for myneeds..say so long to dead watches that need replacement batteries andGo Green with a Seiko self-winder!

Looks Good But Inaccurate
I like the appearance but it gets about a minute ahead per day. I still wear it a lot.

Constantly stopped and lost time
Even though automatic, it constantly stopped and /or lost time. Really wanted it to work

Seiko 5
Can't beat this price for an automatic watch. Good size unless you have really thick wrists. Always nice to have a clear case back to see the movement too.
