I install these on all of my shotguns! I have been using them for years and have never had an issue with them. The light pipes are bright, and I have never had one break yet. Just put a little bit of blue locktite under the sight when you install it and it will stay in place indefinitely.

This review won't try to convince you that a fiber optic sight is good or bad.... You either like them or you don't. What I will tell you is that if you like this particular sight, buy it from Amazon and save about $13 over the cost of buying it from the big name gun manufacturers. I have bought these from the manufacturer of some of my shotguns and paid $40 for them. I took a chance on buying more from Amazon, and I am pleased to say that they are identical to the more expensive item. I bought three of these, and I am going to buy another with the money I saved! Same identical item, just without the name of a gun manufacturer on the package.One thing to note is that this isn't the easiest item to install. Removing the old sight can be a problem! Some gun brands use a fairly substantial screw under the sight, and some do not!! The old sights are installed with thread locker, and it is REALLY easy to break off the sight instead of unscrewing it. I have done both! However, once the sight is removed, installation of the new sight (also using thread locker) is very easy.

Remington 870... mine had threaded bead, so was able to install without drilling or tapping.Install - took advice from other reviewers. Used silicone gutter sealant between base and rib to resist movement and prevent moisture from getting between.Other reviewers have mentioned sight base turning because screw would not seat right enough. On mine there was a ridge around the bead hole. I used a diamond hone to gently remove it. It took a few careful minutes. I was able to tighten so it would not move. Also had damaged thread after bead removal. Was able to use screw to gently straighten threads, turning it a few degrees gently in and back. That also took several minutes to gain half a turn, which was enough to firmly seat the sight base.

This was chosen because there was already another one in use, but that one had no pipes left, was easier and cheaper to buy a whole new one and stick it on another tool and just have two and split the pipes between them. However, the holder for the pipe got the medium and large pipes stuck and unsure how to get them back out.But works great for intended use!

I have this sight on all of my Browning sporting clay guns and some field guns as well. Easy install. Several different size screws are included for the different manufacturers.. It helps me acquire the targets faster.

HIVIZ makes good stuff. I have them on many shotguns, my custom shotguns, my trap gun, and several on pistols. A different model of course.
