Does the slim pen 2 require a charger with the Surface Studio Laptop?

No, it does not. The Slim Pen 2 connects magnetically to the bottom of Surface Laptop Studio, and wirelessly charges there. It’s a small area that’s carved out specifically for it, almost directly under the trackpad. The Slim Pen 2 snaps onto that area — and WOW are those magnets STRONG, if Jesse Pinkman saw them he would just go NUTS — and charges/stores it until you need it next. It’s a well thought out feature, and very discreet; I honestly forget it’s there sometimes, lol. That being said, for $35, you CAN buy a charger for the pen. I don’t know why you would — maybe you bought a dozen slim pens for some bizarre reason. Maybe you bought eight of them because you want to make a weird Freddy Krueger glove, with the pens replacing the finger knives. I’m all for it. You can make your own version of Freddy doing the finger knives on the chalkboard, but instead doing it with the finger pens on Microsoft Whiteboard. “Screeeeeech!”(digitally). If this sounds like you, just know that such a Microsoft made, $35 charger exists. Also know that I think you’re the best and totally awesome. This is my Answer. Once released by me, it becomes free, and I am no longer it’s master.
