Works well with a 9v battery
I bought these to replace the ones in my pachinko machine. I wanted to replace the transformer with a 9v battery. They are quite bright and I am very satisfied.

Worked great on small brass bell Cristmas lights.

Close but not quite for an older flashlight
Make sure you don't need the little surround at the top to make contact. This does not have it. It is made of plastic. I was able to get one to work through the use of wires and it seemed to be decently bright.
