I have to say, this laundry additive has gone above and beyond in its ability to impress me! For years I have veered on the side of caution when it comes to white towels for my household. I have always been of the opinion that there is absolutely no way to keep white towels clean enough in a fully functioning, daily use household of both children and adults. Between the males in the home who seem to have an extra layer of dirt on their bodies that sloughs off when they bathe, wash their hands or clean their faces, and the girls who are inappropriately using the white towels to wipe off smudged lipstick stains, cleanup from the unwelcomed remnants of a monthly visitor and touch up make up, it's no wonder that it would feel virtually impossible to keep a bright white towels in circulation. However, I have recently acquired a bit of courage and decided to try out white towels and linens again. To my dismay, nothing has changed with time. This family of mine is still creating the same amount of dirt resulting in the same amount of unattractive, dingy white towels. I tried the usual suggestions of soaking in lemon juice, baking soda, vinegar, dawn dish soap, bleach; and it all produced the same results. DINGY TOWELS! They weren't dirty but they still had a sort of gray overtone to them that I couldn't get rid of. Then one day, after searching for additional options, I stumbled onto this stuff. I followed the directions exactly as it says on the bottle. I actually just used the green cap to eyeball the two tablespoon measurement as it says in the directions. I then still added my regular liquid detergent, Arm & Hammer, and I did still add bleach to the dispenser as usual. 30 minutes later I opened my washer to some much brighter and whiter clothes! I couldn't believe it! In fact, I actually thought it was my imagination. That is, until I saw the brown ring left behind in my washing machine, as you can see in the photo! This stuff cleaned so well that there was a brown ring of dirt left behind from the amount of filth that it lifted from the white laundry load! At that point I was sold! If you want brighter, whiter whites and you are tired of searching for a new product to get you there, TRY THIS STUFF! I will never have a laundry closet that does not contain this product ever again. I hope this helps some of the other moms, grandmas and even dads who are out there struggling with this issue. As a side note on the blood stains on white clothes, I have found that keeping regular white ammonia (like the one they sell at the dollar tree) around and applying it directly to the stain prior to placing it in the laundry will do wonders to remove the stain. The same thing goes for ground in arm pit stink like in gym clothes and the like. Apply a bit of ammonia directly to the arm pits prior to laundering. If you have time ammonia and a small amount of liquid detergent is even better and it can be applied days before laundering or minutes before. HAPPY LAUNDRY DAY!! I hope you end up with a ring in your washer too!

Nine years ago, after my daughter's wedding, I spot-cleaned a few areas of her wedding gown, but did not get it dry-cleaned because it is made with embroidered lace and sequins over a satin underfabric, and dry cleaning would take the sparkle out of the lace and sequins. I zipped it in a storage bag thinking it was pretty clean. But, recently we took it out of its storage bag and were sad to see over a dozen brownish stains on the lace, as well as on the nylon netting under the lace, and on the satin fabric. We think it was likely 9-year-old champagne splatters. Over the ensuing two weeks, I tried every stain remover I could think of, including all of the 'oxy' products. None dented the stains. I figured this product was worth a try, but had little hope that it would succeed, especially when I mixed some with water, as directed, and it did not fizz one bit. Regardless, I made a paste of the granules and water, spread it on each stain, and let it sit 20-30 minutes. To my amazement, it removed every stain completely from the lace, the nylon netting, and the satin. I was also impressed that it did not appear to alter the fabric's ivory color. Wedding dress rescued! I then tried it on 3 more items which also had old stains, with mixed results: (1) A rayon blouse that had a little dot of a stain from pasta sauce [victory again!], (2) a 100% cotton white baseball hat that had a large tea stain [failure, and in fact, it turned the stain bright yellow], and (3) a pair of men's khakis that had gone through the wash with a ballpoint pen in the pocket, leaving blue ink stains [no change to the stains either way]. Giving this 5 stars because when it works, it really works! I took a few before/after photos of the wedding gown stains and may add them to this review in the days to come.
