One electronics kit worth building.
For about $12 bucks it's a really great deal. The little case is cool. I appreciate that people like Charles N put great English instructions together, in his review, very generous of him. It took me a couple hours and I've designed built alot of electronics professionally and as a hobby over the years, I didn't even use Neuhauser's instructions, only because I hadn't seen them. Most kits turn me off because they make something I find pretty useless but, this is really cool. It's a clock that reads time, date, day of the week (numerical starting with 1 on Monday) and temperature in Celsius. If you can't handle Celsius, I pity you, just multiply by 2, subtract 10 percent and add 32. Anybody can do that in their head, right?. And it'll plug into any USB for power, so it even travels well, I suppose. And it auto dims. Get the red one, white or blue will probably be too bright. It's an STC version of a 8051 MCU which I suppose if you wanted you could reprogram or buy a new chip and write your own code, if you haven't been cured of wanting to write programs, yet.

Nice Little 24 Hr. Clock Kit
I was looking for a 24 hr. format clock for my ham shack and came upon this one which was a fun little project as well. I haven't had much experience soldering components to double-sided printed circuit boards but took my time and had no problem assembling the kit. You definitely need a small tip on your soldering iron and a steady hand. Clean your soldering iron tip between components. I had my soldering iron temp. set at 350Β° C. The clock worked flawlessly when I powered it up! The instructions could be better but can be deciphered. There was no mention of the battery type but I think I have it narrowed down to a CR1025.

Neet for a child, good value.
Way to to easy, a five year old child can build this clock. Im going to have to order something a little more challenging.

Battery is a CR1220
Piece o'cake. This was so easy, the instructions weren't really required.

Don't buy this clock if you live in the U.S.
Nice clock if you live in Europe. The temp. is degrees c and clock is 24 hour format and can't be changed.
