My Vintage Barbies: A Comprehensive Reference Guide of Barbie Through the Vintage Years 1959-1979 and Beyond

I've been collecting Vintage Barbie for 30 years, and have a large collection of "collectors" books. This book proved to be very informative, I was able to learn more about my Barbies from this author. It was worth the time and money.

Long time collector who used the authors website “My Vintage Barbie” DAILY and decided that I would purchase the book since the site is so useful! I definitely have no regrets- this book is an absolute must have for collectors! Not only has this one book eliminated the need to use the site but it also has become my go to for all things Barbie! I honestly have no need for my other reference books!She covers the history of Barbie, ID guides, Barbie & Friends fashion …. it’s insane the amount of information that’s in the book!I highly recommend!

This is a well arranged and informative book on Barbie and friends from 1959-1972. The down side was the poor quality of the photos.

This book is a great source of information, nothing really that you couldn't find online, but if you prefer to work with a physical book and to have almost all of it in one place this is useful. Quality wise the paper and printing is quite poor, many photos are blurry but you still can work with it. It also could have been structured better. My biggest gripe is that zero thought was put into the book layout. I'm sure not a single typesetter had ever looked into it (I have a degree in graphic design and know what I'm talking about). You can't just throw your website on paper and call it a book. My eyes are bleeding every time I open this travesty. This is honestly disrespectful towards the users of this book. I understand that this was a project with a very limited funding but authors could have found an enthusiast in a doll community who could have helped with this task. I would rather pay more and have a real book than pay less and get website cutouts transferred to paper.

I liked it all and used the book to learn about barbies history.

Such a great reference book and lovely colourful photos. Highly recommend this book!
