I had hearing aids, they fit well but the improvement in my hearing was only marginal. The background noise was a greater problem. I thought about these and for the price, they were definitely worth the chance.This is what I love about them:1. They are adjustable, I can turn the sound up and down at my preference2. The batteries are build in, I don't have to keep changing them; big plus3. The are easy to charge and handle4. I went out to dinner and could hear my friends talking in a noisy restaurant!5. The case that comes with them is nice, it zips on three sides and is a very nice quality.6. I can actually wear just one sometimes, one ear is great the other is the problem and this adjusts wonderfully.This is what I'm not so crazy about:1. Although they give several different sizes of ear plugs, they are still a bit large for my use.2. They fit will but are just a bit larger than I like3. This is just me being picky: the little circular case they fit in is great but its frustrating getting the top off.These are worth every penny I spent on them and I will have a back-up pair soon. If I turn them up too loud I hear static and that's fixed with a quick adjustment.

The Hearing Aids work well and are definitely "Good Value"... However, (1) of the units apparently became disconnected to the earplug and no longer works. I have ordered another set of the improved model with stronger connection protection, but would like to get a replacement for the defective unit I still have..FOLLOW UP - Received my replacement + .... Great response.... and these "Hearing Amplifiers" will be my standard for comparing other, more expensive units.. Large gatherings are still a problem, but one on one is greatly improved!!

The volume control is not consistent between the two that I bought. The noise in my car when I am driving "swamp" them and causes severe audio distortion and artifacts. For some reason the location of sound is "off" when I am using them. For reference, I do not have that problem with another set from a different manufacturer that I have. Other than that, they do amplify sound and under most conditions do improve legibility.However, I am going to buy a more expensive pair and hopefully the mentioned problems will not exist.

This review is the same as the others and I wish I had read them before I purchased this. I liked the idea of recharging the batteries, because it can be costly to buy new ones so frequently, but they don't hold a charge. The sound was really bad, when they worked. They stopped working after about an hour. I'm not sure if I have the time to return these, since this is the holiday season and on top of that we recently moved and are renovating our new home. I purchased another brand that had good reviews and cost a little over $300 for one hearing amp. It works very well and I am pleased with it, but I do have to purchase batteries. I plan to buy another one, after the holidays.

My wife has been using these since Christmas 2017 and they are wonderful for the money. I'll come back here to update as time goes by as I'm expecting the non-changeable batteries will start to fail but so far if you are hard of hearing you need these. Most people are paying $1000 to $2000 for something close to the same functionality that these are, so for the price you need to check these out.I have great hearing and had to help my wife get these setup. I was surprised at how well they sounded. The problem is they amplify everything, it gets to be audio overload when sitting in a noisy restaurant. She asks me "Is this what you are hearing all the time?" I say yes. She asks, "How do you deal with it". LOL, She's wanting to go to the movies once to try them out there since she missed what people were saying before. We have to have the closed captioning on at home on our TV. I sometimes miss what they are saying at the movies because the audio gets so quiet, but when there is action going on the sound is so loud you think the people in the next theater can hear your movie. I've stopped seeing movies because I'm spoiled on the closed captioning now.So far, she's happy with them.

Did not work right. The units kept turning on and off continuously. I return the order. I was hoping to get a answer if this was the way the units are suppose to work or not. If this is not the case I would like to reorder.

I've read the reviews of other buyers and the only thing I can say is that they not familiar with how these devices work.I've been hearing impaired since I was seven due to a head injury so I have experience with these and devices like these.I've had these hearing aids a little over a week and they work better than expected.I have 80% hearing loss and these hearing aids work for me so I would tell other users to turn them down maybe then they won't cut out because if you have too much gain (volume too high) they will cut out.my suggestion is to start at the lowest setting and go up from there till you find a volume that's just right for you if they still cut out then visit your audiologist and then can help you determine the right volume for you.In all they work great for me even with 80% hearing loss like i said I have over 40 years of experience so I know how to tune then for me.

Smaller than others, but very sensitive. I usually wear high dollar aids that filter out background noise much better, but they still failed to pickup some voices I was trying to hear. These, even on the very low settings would pick up those voices. Work great too, for listening to TV without having TV volume up very high. Because they amplify all sounds, I don't believe they are for general everyday use. However, for specific occasions, without a lot of background noise they work great, especially, for the price. Only had them a couple weeks & have not encountered any problems.
