One should have all the 3 books Illustrated books published by DK. The illustration is really beautiful and beautifully written back story of every Goddess. I love with the book. Wish the packaging of the book was done properly when couriered cause has a little damage on the skin of the book.

The paper quality is glossy, but not as thick as that in the Illustrated Mahabharat and Ramayan books from DK.The book is very good for this price.

The book Shakti covers almost all aspects of the Goddess and Her manifestations. Nilima Chitgopikar who has a vast knowledge of Shakti and Shakta cults has actually brought the book to everyone. It can be read like an encyclopedia, as an academic reference at the same time is reachable to first-timers. It can be read from anywhere, on any page as each aspect is discussed as a paragraph with photographs and is complete in itself. The fabulous visuals which respond to the writings are from historical as well as the contemporary pools. I have read all the books by this author and have them in my library. Now I am looking forward to a book on Nilima Chitgopikar's favorite subject-'Siva'.

All topics are covered and this book try to cover many but it missed many unique places of devi over all its good book

Shakti Book quality is original dk illustrated publishing and not just photocopy of coloured pages.. Mahabharata illustrated i received was well packed and perfect untill i saw the pages they were not glossy like thus book ..shaktiAs this one is heavy glossy pages and the pics are vibrantAmazing...this is review of the quality of the book did not start reading yet as it just got delivered

I am glad I ordered this book.A must read if you are inclined to understand the subject well. Easy to read, loved the imagery and the short stories, folklores. Page quality is good. Overall reading experience is amazing
