I wanted an accurate and well built thermometer for our sauna. So far I'm very happy with this one other than the price.

I largely chose this product because of the simple, clean, classy appearance. The German built brand was a plus because they, of course, are known for accuracy in engineering and measurement. The unit arrived quickly and looks as good as I thought it would (though a little smaller than I imagined).Unfortunately, I'm still struggling a bit to determine if it is accurately recording the temp and humidity levels. The electronic thermostat in my Sauna will read 195 degrees, and this will read roughly 145 degrees. Now, I expect a lower reading because the electronic sensor is 3" from the ceiling and directly above the heater, while this is about 12" from the ceiling and as far away from the heater as I can get, but 50 degree delta still seems to be too much. I'm going to continue to monitor this over the next few uses and see if I can gain confidence in it.

This is a great thermometer/hygrometer, which we hung in our sauna. It is nice looking and appears to be well-made. We bought it several months ago, and it appears to be holding up very well. We just bought another for some family members who are having a sauna installed at their house. Shipping was a bit slow, as I recall, but I would (and did) buy it again.

Tried several before this one. Perfect dial size, reasonably easy to read. Somewhat expensive but worth it.

I like the size of this unit. I use mostly my steam sauna but at times the sauna is use dry. Usually my sauna is 120 degrees with over 60% humidity. I could not find a unit that would go up to 200 degrees and 100% humidity large enough to read. The needle for the humidity went way past it’s 60% limit. Now it quit working. So all I have now is an expense thermometer. Maybe the 3 star is not fair since it did not fit my needs.
