It's a bargain, works as advertised and unless you were literally born yesterday, is easy to set up!
For most people, this is just the ticket.Yes, it takes a little bit of effort to set up but if you've had a couple or three WAPs or Routers over the years, and who hasn't, there's nothing difficult so long as you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS which are NOT difficult. You can set this up by using either the included network cable (wired) or wirelessly. I chose wirelessly. It worked, first time. Amazingly, I just followed the instructions and it gave me internet. Wingo. Now, the instruction sheet in the box is complete and detailed, but it's printed teensie. You'd be well advised to FIRST GRAB A MAGNIFYING GLASS and turn on the lights or wait until you can read this in sunlight so you can read it clearly. There is a long password and the URL of the device to read and you are given some options to select from depending how you want to use this device.I got this to replace a lower power router that just wasn't quite making the trip, but thought I'd try the Repeater mode, placing this halfway between the not quite strong enough router and where my equipment is that I want to wirelessly access the web. Easy as pie. It took a couple steps to enter the info, there were a couple or restarts involved (which the device handled on its own) and suddenly I was seeing my other router's signal busting in nice and strong but with the Wireless AP name on it.I can now access the controls for the other router as if this repeater was not there, and changing wireless channel on the router works perfectly and this repeater adjusted itself to pickup and retransmit on the newly assigned channel.I can access the password and SSID editing functions of either with no problems and the network mapping is assignable in value either by IP or by MAC addresses, so you can prevent guest use. Now, most people do not have Gigabit Internet so the 300Mb speed here on this router/ap/rptr is not an issue. Most of the US is still WELL under 100Mps, so this is more than fast enough. You can assign it to run b, g or n or b/g or g/n. There are still useful gizmos out there that work on b, so keep that in mind.I'm in a high-rise in the (top 10) big city. There are literally DOZENS of usable wifi signals that I can get receive, all pw protected. MOST are crowded (like numbskulls) on just a couple of channels. That's why being able to assign channels in the web interface for this device or by repeat is so important. I'm on a channel now with only one other signal on it, and there is another two of them to choose from if needed. It added 50% to my tested speed and a lot of pep to browsing. My phones, TV, FireTV, puters, Kindle, Fire Tablets, even my Moto360 watch all seem to like it. Haven't set up my printer yet, but that's an easy to set up Brother once I unbox it, so I'm not worried. This looks like a ceiling smoke detector hat fixture, or like a flattened OLDskool Apple Airport without the conical top. It comes with a mounting bracket you screw to the ceiling (if you install it that way) and then just plug in the one combined power/network cable through the opening and snap it into the bracket. Nice and neat as you want to make it.I set it up UNDER the top shelf of a shelving unit so I can see its lights (colors tell you what's what) but I can get at it easily in case. There has been no need and it looks just fine. It's about as wide as a coffee can and the device is about an inch and the bracket is another 2/3 inch, all white. There is the ability to reset the unit back to factory default (which is basic Router with original password and SSID) if you back yourself into a corner with the setup. Always nice to have a bailout. It's built well enough. The weight is negligible and installation is stressless so it isn't built like the old table-top heavy routers of ten years ago. This is one of those times where a gamble paid off well. I've had this a couple weeks and it's been just fine, unremarkable and unsurprising, which is what you want from a router or wap or repeater! It's cheap, there are no unsightly whip or stick antennas and you can set the power output so as to help cut down on people stealing your wifi. You can install it neatly by tucking the cable, the ONE cable, and it will work great. For this low price, all I can say is that it's a bargain. I'll come back in a couple and several months with updates since I know how important a reliable router/wap/repeater is to people.

Slow and you get what you pay for :(
The speed was a fraction of what it should be and the software didn’t assist in the diagnosis of the issue. Topped out with a diw liad if 60 mbps, expecting at least 300 mbps. The instructions weren’t exactly clear but could understand it, and not as straightforward as other competition.I returned this and purchased two of the cisco cbw140ac, they are awesome, extremely easy to set up and they reach the proper download speed. Save your time, I love the cisco product. When it lost power, it seemed to lose it’s configuration.

Very nice. Lots of advanced options
I love that you can set virtual wireless AP picking a vlan tag to tie it too.Very nice, worked perfectly for my needs.

Network Security Key is 66666666
Missing instructions in box. Could not gain network access. No website for vendor. Spent hours searching different sites and finally found a similar device at KuWFI where I was able to download a PDF of a manual. The Network Security Key to access device through wifi was "66666666", not "admin" as the sticker would have you believe. "Admin" is the password once you reach the setup page. Should have put "66666666" on the sticker, too. Seems these are all rebranded no-name devices with poor or no support, most likely because of a translation barrier from Chinese to English. Difficult to setup for a novice.
