Cat had accident on sofa cushion. Washed cushion and cover in cold water first. Saturated both in neat solution, tied in plastic sack and left to work 24 hours. Washed again on cold wash. Once dry smell of cat urine no different than before treatment. Repeated whole process, still not much difference. Doesn't work anywhere near as well as Simple Solution or Urine Off so although they are more expensive will return to using those as they do actually remove the smell of cat urine. This appears cheaper but that's because it is either highly diluted so you need to use a lot more or it just doesn't contain the correct enzymes to breakdown the uric acid in cat urine.

It absolutely does not do as claimed. The scent is weak, it does not clean any better than warm water and it most certainly does not remove the smell of cat urine.I bought this for the main reason of cleaning cat urine on a couple of spots my cat likes to pee on often and stupidly thought that because it was so expensive it surely would work. So far I have soaked the area in the solution with more than the instructions recommend, left it to dry naturally over night but the smell was still there. Next I soaked the area, gave it a good scrub then used my vax carpet cleaner, the smell wasn't even vaguely removed. If yiu want it to remove cat urine smells then please don't waste your money.As for actually cleaning power it's also pretty much useless at that. I did a side by side comparison using my vax carpet cleaner, one spot I used just warm water and the other used this shampoo... The amount of dirt removal was exactly the same with both. The day after cleaning the smell of the shampoo was long gone and the carpet felt sticky so I had to wash it again with water to rinse out the shampoo which came out with loads of bubbles. There is no mention of having to rinse the carpet and I cannot imagine what it does to the carpets without a rinse.. Or 3, on the 3rd rinse there were still bubbles.This carpet shampoo does not work for removing odours or cleaning. Save your money and buy a less expensive shampoo and if you need to remove urine then definitely go for an enzyme cleaner, this has no enzymes so won't do anything for urine. It also does not, as it claims stop the cat from peeing in the same spot.I'm really annoyed about this product due to the high cost and the fact I may as well have thrown my money down the drain.

ok, i used this in my VAX dual power and i have got to say it smells really nice and is not too strong a scent. it also got up some stains on the carpet and left them smelling fresh but not overpoweringly strong scent which is a plus from me. the anti foamer works really great and it did not foam up the dirty tank which is a plus as i did not have to empty till it was genuinely full. at this price you cant beat it and it will go a long way! WILL BUY AGAIN!

I wasn’t completely sure on it when it arrived as the label was a bit blurred and stuck on at a funny angle, but the solution inside has been great. Photo above shows cushion on right after cleaning and cushion on left before. I use a vax carpet cleaner and it did feel like I went though the solution quite quickly but that may have been my machine. I’ve used it on stairs, rugs and the sofa and has worked great and the smell is fresh and not too strong- definitely removed our dog smell. Will be buying more but probably the bigger size. Previously used the vax cleaner solution to this, but much prefer this product for the smell and results.

Used this in a Bissell StainExpert6 for grubby but not stained carpets. Worked very well. The scent is sweet, floral, but not over-powering and without that odd 'bitter' smell you can sometimes get with cleaners. Along with the excellent StainExpert6 it brought up the carpets really well, looking almost new. Remarkably it also brought out cat hair from deep within the already-vacuumed carpet so felt extra smug that the carpets were left nice and clean. Cannot vouch for it on stains as there were none to remove, but on general grubby carpets it worked a treat. No complaints. It did seem to remove that lingering 'pet' smell - whatever that smell is. Good product.
