How long it takes before it fade?

I'm not sure what you mean by fade. If you don't wear it for around 24 hours it will stop.

How does this watch keep time without a battery?

its perpetual movement, no batteries needed but you have to keep it moving from time to time, if you dont wear it for a while it will need to be reset, I have an automatic watch mover for mine
