Better than OEM (IMHO)
Having earned a living as a mechanic several years ago, I've come to recognize Gates hoses and belts as the gold standard. I replaced the hoses only as a preventative maintenance, but I did notice a soft spot on the hose I replaced, so it would have eventually failed eventually. Better to replace it now, than while on a road trip.
