Canon Earned Our Repeat Business. Easy to set-up and use
We just replaced our Pixma MG3122 that had given us extremely good service for two years. We chose to stay with this line because it uses the same ink cartridges and the MG3122 was fairly efficient on ink usage. We run a small business and use it for personal needs also.Set-up was easy. Very easy! Step one: READ the directions. Step two: FOLLOW the directions. To use wireless set-up it is best to have a wireless router.Insert the CD, Follow the prompts until it tells you, Turn on the printer, press and hold the Wireless button, release, then press and hold the WPS button on the wireless router, release. That is all. Then Install the software from the CD on all PC units or download from Canon the correct software. I did un-install the old printers from my older machines first, and then had to ask the machine to detect the new printer in Control Panel. I have not tried to print from a cellphone. I bought this from Office Depot for $59.99 and bought the 2 year replacement warrantee for $14.99. A pretty good deal IMHO.

Good value at $35 price-point.
I've used these little inkjets, and their predecessors, for many, many years. I am probably on my fourth generation now, and each mechanical device has lasted a couple of years before failing. The replacement cartridges are more expensive than the printers themselves, but the ink included with printer itself is such a tiny tank that it really should be called an ink sampler. For approximately $35 per printer, I've gotten lots of value for my money spent. They print wirelessly over my home network, and they respond to my Airprint from iPhone occasionally, but that is Apple's fault, not theirs.Canon's inkjet bundles, purchased on their website, come with lots and lots of paper, so, for the price, even those are a good value. No need to spend more, that is for sure.

This printer sucks - but it doesn't print
This might work as a vacuum cleaner because it totally sucks, but it's worthless as a printer. I have spent over 20-hours trying to get it to work wirelessly (which is why I bought it), including at least two hours on the phone with separate Canon tech support folks (they were great, by the way, and most helpful). The one Canon tech guy was able to get it to work, which it did - until the first time I turned it off, then it was back to square one. I have NEVER had such a problem getting any wireless device to work. This thing is a nightmare. Yeah, I could use it with the USB, but the scanner doesn't work with the USB (at least not so far as I've been able to figure out). I have set and re-set my antivirus software according to the manufacturer's specs, installed and reinstalled the printer software, had the Canon tech folks walk through it all with me on the phone numerous times. IT ISN'T WORTH THE AGGRAVATION. Guess I'll just have to go back to my old Kodak printer. That. at least, connected wirelessly without any trouble; it was a hassle to scan with, but at least it DID work. This experience has soured me on all Canon products. I will never buy another unless it comes with a tech support person you can put in the corner of your room to fix the settings to operate it every time you need to print something.

Shame on Canon
Very disappointed. Having owned several Canon products, I bought this in December 2013; it worked very well for a while and I was satisfied. Now, after only 18 months, the print head appears to have gone bad. I ran a nozzle check which produced terrible results. I cleaned, deep cleaned, did a print head alignment, no improvement whatsoever. Of course, the warranty period is only one year.Gee, what a surprise. Also, this printer uses one ink cartridge for all colors. If just one color runs out, you need to buy a whole new cartridge. A terrible waste of money.I will NEVER buy another printer that does not use separate ink cartridges for each color.

Horrible for Mobile Device Setup
I spent 3 hours tiring to connect this printer. Did not use a PC and followed the horrible instructions for wireless connection ( not using PC Or CD). Nothing but frustration install acted differently each of the 100 times I repeated them. Had to download a Cannon app to install using a wireless iPad interface, horrible instructions and a user manual that is useless. Wonder why it's 60% off? It won't connect using Apple's air print. Useless with an iPad.

Easy to set up
Easy to set up...absolutely not! I could not for the life of me set this up for wireless access. To boot, this printer does not come with a usb cable to plug into the computer. So while I had to set the printer up to do something for a client... I couldn't and had to run out to the office. I was very frustrated and actually kicked it across my living room and needless to say it is broken. What a waste of my money.
