Good casting material
This was my first time working with a urethane resin, had a project that required 2 dozen replicas of 6" sculpture. Took some testing to get a feel for this material but I eventually dialed it in. Here are my takeaways: -Material sets and hardens extremely quickly. At 78F in my shop my total working time was under 90 seconds. I needed more time so I refrigerated the two parts to roughly 45F and this gave me roughly 3.5 minutes. I was able to demold the castings in about 10-12 minutes, my production went quick with this aspect -This material is certainly not bubble free, at least in a closed mold with tough geometry. A pressure pot was needed - this worked excellently but I had to be extremely quick to get it mixed, poured, and pressurized. (chilling the resin was necessary for enough time) -It is relatively exothermic, it gets quite hot when setting. -I did not experience any brittleness or lack of hardening with the two separate kits I purchased. It does seem relatively forgiving with mixing. -The as-cast material has a very nice feel to it and accurately reproduced all the details from my mold. It can be sanded reasonably well (with dust extraction!) My client was extremely pleased. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again.

Best I’ve Tried For Molding
I ordered this twice and on the first order I would stir for 3 to 4 minutes before I poured but on the 2nd purchase no matter the volume I could stir for no more than 30 seconds. As soon as you feel it heating up you have to pour it. I lost half of my resin because I didn’t pour it quick enough. Besides that I love the product. No bubbles, looks very solid and sets fast.

It's white when it sets, not clear, but it's awesome stuff
Once mixed, it turns from a liquid to a very viscous gel in 3 minutes, then 2 minutes after that it can't be undone or molded anymore. Full cure takes an hour or more. The resulting plastic is very opaque, white, very hard plastic with a speckled appearance, but very smooth texture, almost slippery its so smooth, with a polished-looking shine. Because it's so viscous, there is significant surface tension in the liquid phase, so don't expect the top of the liquid to be flat when you pour it, it is rounded like water, but more so. (convex if the liquid is above the lip of the mold/container, concave if below)

From a professional model builder
I'm on my 3rd Gallon of this urethane resin. I like it for the viscosity (on the thinner side) to penetrate all the cavities of my custom silicone molds. The castings are consistent. I weigh out the resin on a gram scale to make sure I'm not guessing. My biggest batches are around 150 grams. You have to work fast. It sets up in minutes and starts to generate heat almost immediately. I also "pressure pot" my molds to keep the bubbles down. It is a very consistent product. And I do tint mine gray with a black urethane tint. Caution: These are strong chemicals with a heat reaction. This generates fumes, whether you can smell them or not. Ventilation is a must along with eye protection when mixing. If you are going to sand it, there are precautions there too. Dust mask and some sort of dust collector, shop vac, be outside etc....Just be smart... That's all I have to say...
