Just as I remembered it
I had one of these as a kid and I really loved it, but it is lost to time and change. Since I'm a grown up with my own money, I decided to get myself one. It's exactly the same, and the gel falls in a slow, satisfying twirl. I think I might use this as a timer of sorts for writing sprints or tasks I'm procrastinating on. The green is very nice, a bright emerald color. This was a perfect ridiculous purchase.

Cool gift for me
The one I purchased is the small size. I know someone that has one double or triple the size. It is relaxing to look at and I keep it at work where there is a lot of stress. I do not recommend it as a gift simply because it is unique and is for a meditative person.

Works just fine. Temperature sensitive so it works faster when air temperature warm & slower when cold.
